For the top of the mob grinder u should put trapdoors on the tops floor so it makes it more efficient and get more loot And u should put the floor up on by the path so u one hit them and the loot does not despawn Hope u take my advice

Hey you should put trapdoors on the edges of the spawning areaand open them. Mobs will consider them full blocks and walk over them, falling in the water stream. this will increase the spawn rate
