important thing to do is to make sure that Skoonamet has an even number of health points, so that when you use battle ready, it actually puts you below 50% HP. Otherwise, you'll still be above 50%HP, and you'll not get the Alert's working, and pressing Battle Ready again would end with you having 1HP.
