What frustrated me when I started out was that it felt like I had no time to make my decisions. Not knowing how to build specific items from memory, or different units abilities just means there is not ime to take it all in. Some pve mode where you could yourself press next and take as much time as you need between rounds would be cool to see.

Just search up the units and items, pve would let people make the best comp ever

I’ve been playing for a bit now Maybe 2 years or so Bis is largely not needed outside of competitive play I’ll look it up and mainly focus on comps and positioning Apply items during combat if needed unless they have a stet or combat ability

Totally agreed with the complexity of the game for newcomers. "Even as an experienced player i get dizzy from reading that." 100%
@riverbandit21385 ай бұрын
I agree. I think TFT is honestly awesome, but the onboarding is difficult. There should be a beginner mode where they give you a small pool of units to choose from and recommend who to pick during the game. As you level up more units are granted into beginner mode. And after you get to the final level in beginner, you go to play normals and then ranked with enough games in normals

10 portals is fun too, hit that twice but you only need 2 spats so it's not quite as strong. This is an instawin... easier to get IMO is the 3 star Xerath. It's also an instawin... but theoretically I wonder what wins... 3 star Xerath or 10 eldrich? Xerath gives you a wish that stuns and damages the whole board... I guess whoever gets the stun off first.

Stormbringer stuns instantly so I guess it would come down to the QSS charm

As a casual player, TFT is a really fun game but you literally have to study the game every new set to learn the mechanics. It’s so boring to have to learn everything again. They should make a mini tutorial, not a 30 page text about the new things. Something playable would be a lot better
@noobdeadcells51206 ай бұрын
At least everyone has to learn about the new mechanics every new set so the new players won't be alone
@raphaelmerino1006 ай бұрын
Regarding the TFT new player experience, the best way to approach is removing niche optimization that only makes the game harder for the sake of making it harder. One example is this season allowing Mana to go over the next cast so that you don't need to optimize the Mana per cast but rather think if the Mana item is good or not on the champion. Also making some information available always available for the new player, for example the Carousel trick with Anvils should not be as hidden from a casual player as it is, specially given how impactful it is. A game doesn't need to be complex just for the sake of being hard, it can have a innate complex that is properly optimized, I do believe Riot is trying to fix it, but it's baby steps because it can impact the game by a lot.
@dipshtfckface62586 ай бұрын
For me its basically just like any other game.. You learn more as you play. And you don't really need to know all of the hidden mechanics, or the tips and tricks to play the game. (That can come later) Whenever you try out a game, animation cancelling is not the first thing you try and learn, you really just learn the basics. And in the case of TFT just learning how to itemize and how to manage econ (the basic stuff) is enough for a player to climb up to like masters. Now, if you want to advance further then learning all the niche stuff could help get you an advantage I'd even say that MOBA's are more harsh to new players as they require more brain storage just to remember each skill of the 100+ champs + the items + all the map objectives. TFT is basically just, look up what are the meta comps, check and see if your spot is good to play one of the comps, if not then try to pivot to something else or cook something up yourself.. You hit you hit, if you don't then you don't. gg go next.

I mean, using different voli skin wouldn't fit the style, it's all around the elder gods skin line, maybe they should change the stormbringer to nocturne ult - everyone gets fear and nocturne jumps on every unit giving 1 hit each and dealing a ton of dmg, like 80% of their health

In Hearthstone, they had a gamemode called "Classic" Where you could play Hearthstone like it was before any of the expansions. Players like it initially, but nobody plays it anymore. Dota Underlords was pretty popular too but compare it to TFT now. You gotta make your game fresh if you wanna expand the playerbase, can't always make things simple

I think tft is fine for beginners its only complicated variable is that you need to learn traits, augments and synergies. It’s like a kids puzzle you just pick up a piece and figure out which piece you think would fit with it.
