Your progression over the year is very impressive, you have some great penetrative speed, hight and enough change of direction to make the opposing player hope your first serve goes in! returing that kick serve woudl be a nightmare as you can tell there is so much spin on that ball, most player will over hit !

improvement is crazy bro. keep up the great work. im sure you can tell when you use it in matches that it puts you on much more even footing than your previous second serve

Nice progress! You were getting some amazing racquet head speed. From what I saw, it looks like you're holding an eastern fh or even sw grip. Try and make sure to hold a continental or even an eastern bh grip for even more spin. Best of luck!

It’s not always about how high it kicks, but the sudden change of direction as it kicks matters a lot too.

@@zlomeny that’s right but people get enamored with the height that’s all. When the ball kicks it doesn’t just kick up it, there’s also the side motion that happens that you impart from side spin.

Definitely good progress. I feel like you’d get even more action on it if you hit up at the contact point. Your current swing is pretty laser like in trajectory. Generally you want to hit well above the net, let the action pull it down last second and then gravity and trajectory helps even more with the bounce. You’ll also find you get way nicer outwide angles on the ad side if you can get that extra height. As a tip to work on it, I’d have you try literally sending the ball into the sky, while imparting max spin. Focus on the spin to bring it down rather than lowering trajectory over time. I played college tennis and when I realized how much height I could get, consistency also went way higher and my second serve was arguably giving me better serve opportunities than 120mph fast balls with a lot of my opponents even though a lot of them were only 80-90pmh.

Hard to tell from the video, but it looks like you are in a forehand grip instead of a continental. Again, hard to tell, but try freezing your motion as you toss and then double-checking your grip. Great progress!

you'll be able to load and twist more at the bottom of the knee bend if your right foot stays behind your left at pinpoint. that'll get more racquet speed = more kick.

i'm still trying to re-learn how to toppsin serve at 170 kmh+. Most of these serves are not actually kick serves but rather topspin(meaning a variation of a slice serve) serves, how do I know? your swingpath: a kickserve swingpath is almost entirely along the baseline and your shoulders basically dont turn at all, also the ball on most of these bounce straight up and not sideways; nothing wrong with this and most pro's actually do second serve like this simply because of the pace: a real kickserve is extremely hard to get above 90 mph and most of them are 80-85. Another clear indication of this not being a kick serve is that the ball path is almost entirely straight down while a kick serve's ball path trough the air curves like an tilted U

very good but i think the next big focus should be to efficiently serve wide with big kick on AD side. make it land behind as short as possible. Wins a billion free points against ppl without a very good backhand return especially 1 handed players will sturggle
@louisedyhlen32343 ай бұрын
why would you want it to be short?

I hit serves 4 times a week, and I would suggest that you try learning a slice serve and then move on to the kick serve. Slice serves will help you get more first serves in. Also start practicing your technique and serve from the service box and use the mini tennis to develop a good and natural serve technique. You have a great serve and you are just starting out in the wrong place by trying to learn from the baseline first. Great job and keep up the good work my friend.

I think one thing that you aren’t doing to get a better bounce on the for the kick serve is brushing up on the ball. At your point of contact, it seems like you are brushing it to the side with some upward motion. Try tossing it a little more to your left and letting the ball drop a little more in order to brush up on the ball. The ball trajectory should be going up before landing into the service box.
