When I was 17 I was hunting moose with Dad. My first Moose hunt! Made a one shot kill at 249 Yards! Bull Moose weighed in at 940lbs. 41 point rack! Used Dad's 30-06 Remington.

I just got back into COT I am currently Level 29 or so. I quit the game so fast when I first bought it because of how frustrating it was for me! I don't play hunting games but I also didn't give it a fair chance. When I came back to the game I sat down and read everything and who would have thought the Codex and reading things help! I am really enjoying the game now! This video really helped me with some QOL tips. Such as the noise distance to not have animals flee, the 150M standard range without the perk, Difference between soft point and polymer. And so on, very good video! I liked and Subbed! Excited to become a better player.

I really appreciate the help on distances. I didn't understand at what distance animals got spooked. I also thought there weren't many animals in the game at first because I kept spooking them, but once I rode the ATV to unlock viewpoints and camps I realized the map is chock full of animals.

Amazing!!! Although soft points can have a good purpose. Let's say with certain species like moose where it can be really hard to get a double lung, use soft points if your gonna get a single lung might as well use the ammo that does more expansion damage

What I like to do is roam around the map from lake to lake while hunting during the day and then at night I focus on going to outposts and lookouts. If you have the ATVs it makes that considerably easier to get that free XP. Plus you get more fast travel points.

wow, such an excellent resource, tyvm. Level 3, just started, and had a moose kill or two with a Zarza .308 Also got trampled on by white tail deer, which was surprising. Then had a warning call from a bear within 20m, so I high-tailed it outta there and didn't look back (actually took off my headphones in case he was nipping at my heels!!)

Excited to be a new player! I'm currently level 17, had spent most of my time on Layton Lake, especially trying to do the missions and finding it aggravating. The one I'm currently on that I'm absolutely sick of is to shoot a white tail from 200m near Kraken Rope bridge (and that's after spending >10 hours trying to find those coyotes near Cheelah). Yesterday I switched up to Silver Ridge and it is like night and day. So enjoyable, animals everywhere, missions that aren't tedious. Loving your videos. Looking forward to herd management and great one grind, but for now focused on completing missions and levelling up. Yet to see a diamond, but really noticed the increase in golds lately (which I suspect is from consecutive harvest?), so can't be far off.

consecutive harvest increases your cash per animal but does not affect the score at all. Finding golds/diamonds comes down to what was originally put on your map and your respawns - so rng - it's random

Great video. I started a few months ago and already have about 200 hrs so far. I watched a lot of your other videos and videos from other players and learned much of what you have shown in this video. Personally I still play like I am hunting in real life since killing everything in sight and grinding for trophies and great ones is too game like for my tastes. My GF doesn't understand how I can sit in a blind for an hour waiting on a shot, LOL Keep up the good work!

Looked like that whitetail at the lake you gave up on did end up dying eventually. I highly recommend bringing the bloodhound with you if you don't like tracking long blood trails after non ideal shots. A lot of the time they do bleed out eventually.

If you don’t want to pay for the dlcs and if you’re on pc, you can download pretty much all of them for free. You’ll only be missing some camos, the Labrador, and a gun pack.(can’t remember which pack) I unfortunately found out the hard way that your save data on xbox cannot be connected to pc, that includes dlcs and all my progress. Re-bought the game for $4 on g2a and a few clicks to get all dlcs. So glad I didn’t have to rebuy anything else.

I would encourage considering *not* using ATVs or “tenting” the map with a friend to unlock maps quickly. Enjoy the exploration and leaning about the map slowly. (Plus you won’t get bored so quickly.) I find it much more enjoyable.

When i started to play Way of the Hunter i really wished that i could spot need zones by spotting animals. Once spotted your never gonna lose them but sometimes it gets abit annoying trying to find the zones but atleast u dont have to do it again once its done.

I love doing challenges like this. My plan is similar no DLC guns (i dont count map guns that you have to pay in game money for) till 60, Im also limiting myself to 2 long guns and a bow or pistol, so no more than 3 weapons. And also the ARs and Classic rifles (M1, Mosin, 303) i can only use the 1-4x scope.

I picked this game up when it was free on epic a few years ago. I got Frustrated with it because it kept crashing at launch so I stopped playing it. Picked it back up a few months ago when Australia came out and I reached level 60 on epic. I also decided to make a separate apex account and buy it on steam with all the dlcs when there was the Black Friday sale to start a new game. I was even able to run them both at the same time to tent my map for outposts. Australia is definitely the best map for leveling fast and making cash. Since I had the dlcs I used the Zarza 308(for kangaroos-Crocs) the sunberg(for banteng and crocs) 2 Cumeo pistols (foxes and goats) and the couso(rancho shotgun for birds).

Hello Lady I have a question Can you maybe make like rate my loadout? Cuz I would like an opinion from a pro like you. You could maybe even make a video series if you want to :D Anyways here is my loadout (it is supposed to be universal - I have every type of gun and can kill every type of an animal) 1) binoculars 2) Zarza-10 .308 3) Canning Magmum .300 Frontier 4) Zagan Varminter .22-250 5) Cacciatore 12G 6) Razorback Lite CB-60 7) 10mm davani Scopes: Argus 8-16X50 The night vision scope Davani scope Red raptor scope (for shotgun) Rangefinder for bow I also carry the night vision binoculars for night hunting at me (I carry both binoculars at once so I can just easily swap them mid-hunt) I have the perk with bigger inventory + the small backpack (like it or not I want all of the guns, scopes and everything and I don't really feel any difference even when hunting with the bow) This leaves me with 1.5 space, any ideas? For example I put the caller for smaller predators (distress rabbit) and the spray that makes you smell less. Then I put some dog treats but I plan to get something better than this. Ff you have any ideas then be sure to share them with me however I'm not really planning to change the guns expect the Zagan. I'm really strugling with the 2-3 game and not sure what to put there. for strictly 2-4 I like the Zagan best however I do know that I can leave some smaller items behind and get the starter gun for 2-6 animals however I don't really like using it because: I have a really bad luck with it; it makes the zarza look useless cuz for animals 4-6 I can use the starter gun and for 7-8 I can use the .300. I know that that is a really stupid fact but here I am. I also know about the second gun for class 2-6 for around 24k (not sure what it's called) but I heard it's pretty weak (and also you need a special scope for it :/). If you're reading this then I hope you have a great day and hopefuly like my loadout and I apologize in advance for my grammatical errors
