I can't thank you enough for your videos. I just start this game again here in 2024 about a 3 days ago and sense watching your videos I've had so much more luck with tracking and just the game in general. Just last night on my buddies server I got a rare brown Cape Buffalo at a gold rating still haven't got a diamond yet but I know it won't be long before I do. Thank you again for the tips a tricks!

That's more or less it. But I hate what happened to Layton Lake. It's a map I'm sentimentally attached, I played it continuously for 9-12 first months and it was so good both visually and he was full of animals. I just love walking through it. Hirschfelden wasn't even close to it. And now Hirs is actually better... damn it! Thanks LL for this review - and thanks for the effort you selflessly give us.

My top 3 favorite maps: 1. Sunderpatan - This reserve being based in Nepal resonates with me for personal reasons. That aside, I enjoy the diversity of the landscape. Jungles and snow are my favorite type of environment (literal polar opposites, I know lol) and the pink leafed trees (unsure what they are called) are lovely. The species are also all mostly great and memorable, both old and new. Tigers and snow leopards are unprecedentedly cool, and I like that there are two different cow species that contribute to the overall danger of the map. If only we got gaur (hopefully in the future). 2. Yukon & Medved - These are tied because I enjoy the snowy, harsh atmosphere. Bears are my favorite animals in real life, so grizzly bears and brown bears are both right up my alley. Both of these reserves are atmospheric and beautiful, and getting attacked by wolves is always exciting. 3. Emerald Coast - CROCODILES!!! (speaks for itself). I also like bantengs because the more bovines the merrier. I enjoy the jungle parts of this reserve.

My most favourite map is the one I am currently in :D This game is old, low hardware requirements (PC) and graphic is just amazing. Go to hills in the center of layton, during the night, go up the stairs to the lookout tower and just enjoy scenery :) BTW I have 44 Fallow Deer zones on TE Awaroa (more on southern coastline) and it also snows in sundarpatan

Had a question and willing to listen to any advice: working on a albino wolf grind and found all my drink zones, set up a good amount of tents and tripods the whole 9, and when I rest to reset the time the wolves have already respawned without me leaving the game. Is this a bug, because I thought you had to leave the map for a good while to get respawns? I know the rare fur variations are quite low as well, but I am 300 wolves in and not a single fur variation so far.

Yeah, Layton Lakes being low down is understandable. As a newer player, I started there (still there, I'm a completionist so want to get all the side missions done before moving on) and I can be running for so long trying to find animals... Often times I even get to a need zone only to find it totally barren. Also Vualez's missions are there and they're just sadistic in nature. A heart shot on a coyote with a revolver at night?! Why are you so mean Vualez?!

24:15 Don't even tell me about the tophes in the Yukon, a few years ago I hunted an albino wolf but I didn't save it because when I collected it, other wolves attacked me and I didn't make it. But thank goodness the hunter made an achivment out of it and I have some proof, but it's still not the same as having him at home

I do not like to hunt things that hunt me back. I wish there was a way to turn off the tiger and wolf aggression. I know I am a big baby, but I get startled when they jump out and that's not enjoyable for me. LOL... I am an old lady. I enjoy hunting the Yaks a lot though... but I can hear them coming when aggressive lol... so I don't even go to the bottom of that map where the tigers are anymore. I wish they could do the same with the wolves. The snow is so pretty and the moose are so much fun... but when I hear the growls, I freak out and just teleport home. I am a wuss... I won't even ride scary roller coasters or watch scary movies. :) I wish they would fix Layton. You are right about it not having enough animals. Emerald Coast is my favorite and a ton of money. :) Crocks are a blast.

Mine are: (based on my opinion) 16. Parque Fernando (most of them except for Cinnamon Teal ate no longer exclusive anymore, used to be good, but not anymore, I consider this the worst of the worst) 15. Cuatro Colinas (I used to enjoy this, but some of the hunting and missions are too hard, especially when some but not all species drink at night like the Mouflon, Boars and Wolves, but it's good for grinding for Red Deer) 14. Layton Lakes (My feelings for this reserve has slightly changed, but it's still not that good as there are too many reeds blocking your vision) 13. Hirschfelden (Why does this map get more hate than Layton? I don't mind the challenge, but the Goose hunting is what makes it easy) 12. Salzwesien Park (This map stings, the only animals that drink at night are the Raccoons, but the Raccoon Dog drink times are better in the daytime, while the Duck hunting is good, it's not as good as Revontuli Coast) 11. Medved Taiga (If you like grinding for Moose, that's great, but Medved is a bit of a stinker for me, mostly because the Wolves and Lynx scare your game even after you exit and come back) 10. Te Aworoa (Sorry to burst your bubble, but this map is seriously overrated. Yes the Fallow and Red Deer grind is worth it, but it doesn't have much impact for me) 9. Rancho Del Arroyo (While it's nice to have a second map for Whitetail, Coyote, Pronghorn and Bighorn Sheep, but sadly, hunting pheasants in this map is harder as they tend to stay in the bushesand they are harder to find) 8. Sundarpatan (While it is a better map for Water Buffalo and Balckbuck, not to mention the Tiger hunt is awesome, but Tahr and Snow Leopard are the hardest to hunt due to no drinking, this is something they need to work on to make them more fun to hunt and the grind easier) 7. Yukon Valley (Still a better map than Medved, but not at all the best North American map by far) 6. Vurhonga Savannah (For a reserve with the most unique game, it's a great map, but not perfect) 5. Mississippi Acres (As someone from the Southeast, I think this is a great place for hunting Whitetail and Black Bears if you stay out of the swampy areas where the Alligators are lurking) 4. Emerald Coast (IMO, this is a better grind for finding Deer and Crocodiles, but it's not too perfect as some species drink at night) 3. Revontuli Coast (If you are a Duck hunter, this is best for you, even if you don't find Gadwall or Ferruginous Ducks on this map, but it's great for grinding for Whitetail and Moose) 2. Silver Ridge Peaks (Suitable for Big game hunters, this is the best spot for hunting Elk, Bison, and Mulies) 1. New England (As a North Carolinian, this represents my home despite the name of the reserve, it's very easy for grinding for Black Bear, Whitetail Deer and Moose. Plus, the Turkey hunting is best here. Say what you want about New England, but it will always be a part of me)
