Shinetsu is silicone grease. Lasts longer, less mess since you're wiping it on instead of spraying, and conditions the rubber.... one application will last years. JR, I'm really surprised you've forgotten your 3rd arm. Unless you got rid of it, I remember seeing them in your garage a few years back; Harbor Freight Qwik Clamps. All you need is a few thick pieces of foam padding on either side of the wind and on top of the window frame, then clamp it. If you're like myself; my Impreza doesn't have a frame around the windows; I just use 2 at the window seals. Simple & effective. BTW, the window installer should mount your mirror for free; the 3 in my town plus all the wrecking yards reinstall the mirror for free as long as it's good.

Cool to see how easy it is on those. One thing to mention is that plastic and adhesive is important to make sure it is sealed across the bottom and up the sides. On some cars, like mine, it actually catches rainwater and directs it back into the door. My plastic was ripped, and it took a while to figure out how water was getting into the car. Plastic replaced, issue resolved. Hope this helps others.

I made an Oreilly's stop to jerry-rig a brake light switch 18 gauge wire cut in 2 20ish inch lengths dorman switch 85958 switch 85980 would also probably work as well and some quick disconnect terminals stripped the wire crimped the terminals on attached the wires to the switch and fished the wires through the bottom of the steering wheel go and unplug the factory switch and plug wires into the connector. with the wires ran this way they won't get tangled in the pedals and you can grab the switch if it drops when needed hold in your right hand and use it to light up your brake lights for turns stop signs speed drops ETC. once the actual switch came in i did a disconnect and swap. this was on a later year first gen Colorado and having one that's red makes no brake lights more dangerous.

It would be cool if you could import a RHD Cube, take the rear end and splice it into the LHD rear end to have a symmetrical rear end and then make it so the hatch opens upward instead of sideways. You could make it so that either the glass does wrap around all the way (This would look better) or remove the wrap around glass completely.
