I love that MCM still keeps their videos relatable to the average car enthusiast. Don't get me wrong, I love watching the other big channels dump hundreds of thousands of dollars into to cars that I'll likely never see and certainly never will be able to afford. (Kinda like the Up GTI 😂) Years ago I would watch Marty and Moog as I was saving up to buy my first clapped out project (1989 Toyota Corolla) they gave me a sense of "hey I can actually do that in my garage" on a very limited budget, paint the wheels, detail the interior, slap a worn out WRX turbo on it and pray it doesnt explode. My hope is that there is someone out there today who is inspired the same way. Thanks for the years of entertainment gentlemen, your dedication to the car community is unparalleled 👍

Some people are just so gifted that whatever they choose to do they just take the ball kicking goals in life...somethings come easy and others have to try so much harder to learn a new and gain multiple skills....I enjoy episodes were I learn something that means today for me isn't a waist...every day you learn something new isn't a day waisted...like that drilling a hole to stop cracks in plastic I didn't know that...to fix cracks in plastic I use soldiering iron and use zip ties as filler....basically plastic weld parts together then you go as far as your prepared as in just get the job done or go as far as body filler on top sand and paint....definitely I never thought I would ever see a Cube on this channel 😂...PS if you plastic weld definitely wear a musk and be in well ventilated area the fumes of melting plastic isn't good for ya obviously.

Given that 95% of all engine damage occurs within the first 15 seconds of start-up in a typical ICE, the cheapest way to protect your engine, is to let it idle for 15 seconds when starting from cold. Fantastic little/large Nissi-nugget you got your-bad-self this time, Moog. Enjoy it!

Honestly this process reminds me of the trouble I had with my XJR. Especially when Isaac talks about no clear order of operations. Everything is super cramped, poor access and zero visibility. Its funny because on a V engine, superchargers right on top are such a fantastic packaging solution. But on inline engines, they hang off the side, block access, add all sorts of headaches.

carbon sheet + epoxy is cheap easy diy thing you can use to fix plastic fenders and such. tape it together the right shape, sand and slap cf in the back, it'll be stronger than before. if it's abs, you can use abs+acetone jelly instead of epoxy, it'll melt in. the cf+epoxy is a nice way to fix broken bolt tabs too, don't worry about it being tricky to keep the hole open, just drill it with a hand drill after it's cured. be mindful of the cf and plastic when sanding. the cf will easily start to de-strand, don't worry about that too much. keeping some cf and 2 part epoxy around is pretty cheap you can get enough for a lot of fixes for few tenners.

This style of roots positive displacement rotors can also be used in another way: to measure the flow of gas. Instead of having a pully drive the gas, you can have the gas drive the blower and measure the rotation of the gears. You'll need high precision machining on all parts to make it accurate. It's a very common type of gas flow meter in light industrial applications. The downside of them is they'll cause pulsation as pockets of gas are released from the rotors with every rotation. This can be somewhat reduced by having two (or more) sets of rotors out of phase with one another.

Hey Guys, Loving that you've bought a Cube, always thought they were cool - the shape is so original that it is always going to look current! Timeless design is truly rare, but Nissan nailed it. One other thing, I don't re-use bearings, even if they seem OK, but especially if they've come out of something that didn't have any oil in it - look for the code on the seal and buy new ones. They are probably the cheapest parts you'll ever need to buy for a build. By the way when are you going to mod a proper R34 Nur???

Reminds me of the old SC12/SC14 from the MR2 etc & probably a aftermarket copy. EM clutch on the input side, coated rotors and a oil supply though on the Toyota they were supplied engine oil via lines. On that note, the coating on the rotors looks done and the rotor sealing might be poor, and they're not much use above 10psi of boost anyway. I had a SC12 on a 750 suzuki bike, perfect for that.

Many had access panels inside the van so you could get at most of the parts.
@alexcorona6 ай бұрын
@@engineerisengihere44 Caravan did not. Was just solid metal firewall. Even having an access panel wouldn’t have helped since the intake manifold had to come out to access the rear plugs. It was the FWD V6 model with the old styled wedge heads. Where the plugs are next to the exhaust manifold, not in the middle of the valve covers. This was when long lasting plugs had came out so they only needed to be changed every 100k. Thankfully.
