Well. This is not a brand new idea that a person can feel no pain even though suffers a physical damage. I've seen it first in a Korean TV series called " Doctor John" It was released on 2019. Central theme: A doctor with an inability to feel pain which becomes a key element in his medical practice, particularly in diagnosing patients with mysterious or difficult-to-treat pain. But I like this hughie's version more. Where he kind of went nuts because of this ability based on the trailer. Edit: I've also forgot the KICKASS movie. Silly me. That was the first time that I've seen this type of character.

Well the concept is not completely original a Hindi movie called "Mard ko dard nahi hota" released in 2018 has the same concept of a man who does not feel pain, and he tries to rescue his lover. although the film has other subplots the main concept and the IP is pretty similar to Novovaine.
