@@LolaGamerIt wasn’t Hermitcrat, it was a season of the Life series called Double Life. General premise was that the series was a semi-hardcore SMP where the last player standing wins. The special quirk for Double Life was that players were randomly paired off and shared the same life pool. When one took damage or died, so did the other. Joel and Etho were paired together on a team, and the base they made was shaped like a boat. So, their nickname became the boat boys.

And Joel came back with “OK Etho, I know you’re obsessed with me, I saw you put me in thumbnail of your first video”. And now that they’re in HermitCraft together it gets brought up all the time.

I started started watching this series as a Mog fan and I've watched other POVs but I have no idea what was going on there or why he was wearing a Kakashi from naruto skin? Or why their child was a ghast? But it was a brave act full of talent 10/10

@@Emylisis omg that’s hilarious, i’m glad you enjoyed it still!! here’s my lengthy explanation if you’re curious: sausage put on the skin of a youtuber called EthosLab (etho did not know who kakashi was when he picked that skin). etho and joel met through the minecraft traffic life series (a battle to the death hardcore series that jimmy, lizzie & scott are also in). in the season Double Life where the concept was soulbounds, joel and etho were a team and they were called the Boat Boys! they were a fantastic duo, but in following seasons, joel and etho started acting like a divorced couple and started a bit about the other person being “obsessed” with them. joel and etho both love playing into the bit, but usually they’re doing the bit alone or around the other life series members who get it. so it’s especially funny to see boat boys mentioned here, on SOS, where only a few of them are friends with etho & know the boat boys lore. also especially awkward for joel that lizzie his actual wife was watching LOL (lizzie was not in double life and joel & etho interactions are now mostly on hermitcraft, which she isn’t a part of) about the kid ghast, in Empires S2 (a minecraft roleplay SMP that a majority of SOS people are a part of), joel was playing a Zeus-esque character, and like a true greek god, he had lots of (fictional) children with different individuals like sausage, oli and jimmy. so, sausage was inspired to throw another joel child into the mix here 💀 sorry for the long answer, but i hope it explains some things for you lolll

@@Emylisis oh yes i can totally see how the “no lore” rule helps out, a lot of this group have been playing on servers together for YEARS! the traffic life series is a lot of fun, there’s 5 seasons so far and if you want to watch in order, the first season is called “3rd Life”. i’m not sure whose POV you’d want to watch but @Grian is the creator of the series and his POV is very starter-friendly! joel’s personally my favorite to watch for the entire series, but he’s a lone wolf during 3rd Life so his POV misses out on some of the fun plotlines with the other teams. i definitely recommend starting with joel’s POV for the rest of the seasons though!

Idk either, I was thinking soulsand you can walk on the edge in older versions. But the jump boost and spider looks like straight hacking. I know u can make invisible blocks using scaffolding but that is the best I got. That would make sense until he did it outside at the end where there would be set chance he glitched scaffolding.
