I do this for multiple pokes before like machop and beldum and others I didnt get either of those with at least 50 checks each. But I did get the shiny larvitar I grinded for. Just keep at it. You will get a shadow shiny one day

I can't stand when I hit an excellent curve ball with a golden razz and they don't even wiggle once before immediately popping out. It's like an extra middle finger, like I did everything right but the Pogo gods had already decided I was never going to get it.
