What did you think about that catch ? What is it with that Ozark Trail ultralight rod ? It sure has landed some big ones hasn't it ? Check my other videos with that rod in action. It didn't turn out to be a new PB but it's the biggest one of these this year. Good Luck and tight lines everyone ! 🤙🤙

Nice! Congrats on the PB! Definitely looks like a black crappie with the 7 dorsal spines. Either that or a hybrid. NE G&P has stocked some hybrids in Kearney. Not sure if they did in Lex! Nice release! Tight lines!

Thanks ! I started to wonder about it being a black crappie when I could see the 7 spikes( dorsal fins) and what appeared to a faint vertical bar pattern while I was editing. Could be a hybrid because there is a fairly balanced white and black crappie population in this pond. Regardless, I was happy and blessed to be able to catch and release this fish ! 👍👍
