Great looking place, wed be down to chill with some pals there! The DS library is one I've mostly missed out on and would love to see some port action to a home console. The love we've been seeing with the SMS means I'm bummed but not surprised to see pricing like this.

SMS is a gift from God. Im playing through Zillion II on it atm. And you gotta do Golvellius if you haven't b4. And you're right, where are the DS port collections to switch? Etrian games got the treatment but it was digital only I think. But there's so many series that could qualify for this kinda thing. Rune Factory, Pokemon, Hoshigami, more Dragon Quests , the list goes on for miles.

Absolutely! That one's gotten pretty rare and to be able to fix & put a working copy back out there is precisely the kind of thing I want to be doing in the hobby. 👍

I think this video pretty much proves why local video game stores are awesome. Also the Megaman Starforce game you had at 6:29 is a fantastic game. Thats the only Megaman series I played start to finish.

I thought you'd like that shot! We'd been talking a lot about those rarer MM games recently. I do like this store a lot. The fact that they're under market on anything suggests that they're probably willing to work with buyers. The people there seem very nice and genuinely glad to be there.

@@Emceemur most importantly though is that disc cleaning machine. I’d much rather pay a store $3 as opposed to dropping over a $1000 on a decent cleaning machine

@@steviefreakinc Yeah I never could personally justify that expense and at one point u could argue I was actually doing the volume. But it definitely makes more sense for a store to have it.

I only watch 2 video game hunting shows on KZbins these days. Game Chasers, and Emceemure!

That's awesome! I like The Game Chasers. 7 years ago I was still on the fence about starting a channel but they were one a few creators that really inspired me to get started.

I would definitely do the same thing. Try to make up for the cost of the resurfacing and catch them slipping a little bit on a few things. Murconomics 101 right there. Didn't even have to mention it.

I really like this place. There's good hunting spots in that area too, though I suspect they probably source from there. But still, I need to get out there more often!

Yikes 5$ a disc to resurface thats nuts. My game stores are 2-3$ each

$3 is great if they have the large $2500 drum type resurfacer. But most I see charging $3 are just using a JFJ like I have. So I gotta go here for my expensive/risky stuff.

It is! It's satisfying to put one more working copy of a rare game back out into circulation. That's how we bring down prices. It's not a fast process but it's definitely something to consider, that there's still so many games out there in attics & basements and other places forgotten.

I have a hard time paying eBay prices when I'm not on eBay. It wasn't an unfair price and I could have it right away, but I also don't need a game that badly right now. Final Zone 2 tho... I need that. I want an Analogue Duo!

The fact that it was hit and miss and not just miss, made it somewhat of a win in my book. A lot of the shops I've been in in the recent past were so overpriced, It was nothing but a miss wall to wall. Next time I'm bringing a pizza lol

Yeah see, I do hate that. Because while they do have overhead, they still need to compete with online pricing or why would I leave home to even come up there? Plus they don't have to source, trades/sales come to them. So that's a huge help.

I don't comment often but have been checking out your content for a while, and enjoying it all. Some nice games pointed out/shown off. In terms of Battle of Giants: Dragons, I've played the other iteration (Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs). Alright game, but it does have a shovel ware feel. That being said I did enjoy the version I played. It was awesome to see the sealed GameBoy stuff in this store. But the only issue I have with games like that as not only a collector but player, is you pay all that money for potentially just to open it up and play it, killing at least 1/2 of the value. Sad to see Raw 2 not end up working as it is a fun game. Super glad to hear about Silent Hill 3 though. This was a great video. Gotta ask, what are you playing currently? Thanks for all the great content and see you in the next one.

I'm glad you're enjoying it! I figured that game was probably shovelware and it's wild that Ubisoft would put their name on something like that. Those $2,000 games were definitely wild to see. They're just investment pieces at this point which is sad in a way because they'll never be opened and enjoyed. But that's the market these days I guess. Lately Im playing COD MWIII in prep for the new Black Ops and I'm playing Elex on PS4. As far as retro, I most recently was brushing up on NES Rad Racer and Zillion II on Master System. @@Emceemur Don't get me wrong, the Battle of Giants are entertaining little fighting style games, even if it basic on how it plays, might be something to look into (assuming you haven't already or in more depth). I recently finished Elden Ring, Now I'm working on AI: The Somnium Files. I need to dive into something retro soon enough, space really for console set up s the issue for me, but once I do some more organizing I might hook up the Retro Duo I have or maybe the N64, been forever since I played something, been more focused on more modern.
