I don't remember. Probably not. But it doesn't matter because you can add every Atari game with an SD card. Fully customizable.

Man, I don't know how you play using your right hand on the joystick. I'm so used to my left on the joystick and right for buttons, even though Pacman has no buttons. This thing is pretty sweet

@@reggaerock That's interesting, I honestly never thought about that! I've always defaulted to my right hand for Pac Man but when you think about your logic, what Im doing really doesn't make sense!

@ It's rich with an amazing lore that many never cared to delve into. I ran an entire D&D campaign based on it with 6 players. Epic. If you haven't played Golden Axe Beast Rider on 360 or PS3, you need to try it! It unpacks a lot of cool lore throughout the campaign.

PacMan wasn't at my wedding. In fact, I don't think the possibility of such was ever on the table. It's a problem we didn't know we had. We may have to renew our vows in a retro arcade or something....

Nice review! I'm not a huge fan of mini arcades but I can the quality in this one at least. The joystick by itself for fans of the clickety click is worth the price of the machine in my opinion! Great video and keep up the good work!

Dissenting voice: PS1 Pac Man with an arcade stick (e.g., Hori) is infinitely better than this. I'm sorry, but I've got to repeat the adjective: INFINITELY. I'm talking about the version of (Mr.) Pac Man on the PS1 Namco Musum disc -and it can be run in Tate mode (with your CRT TV set sideways). At the opposite extreme, Ms. Pac Man is better on the GBA. No, I'm not joking. There's a great version of Ms. Pac Man on the lowly GBA, and it can run "fullscreen" with tiny sprites. I own the My Arcade version of Pac Man, but not in this form factor (with the built in arcade stick). It is interesting. It is fun. For five minutes, now and then, here and there. It is also portable (whereas this form factor IS NOT). However, 20+ years ago, there were better versions of these games on the PS1, with better joysticks (still) available cheaply. Namco made their own PS1 arcade stick, with Pac Man yellow buttons, if you don't dig Hori. Hey, I warned you: dissenting opinion.

I have that PS1 version. I love the Namco Museum discs, I grab one any time I see one. I haven't played the GBA Ms Pac Man though. This unit is a step up from older units. I won't try to tell you this is the best way to play Pac Man or anything. Just that it's better than the older $20 micro units from years back.

I am tempted to start my own podcast ("Retro Gaming Lore") because I have way too much to say about this, but have you tried the (b+w) Game Boy version in zoomed out mode? Many reviewers don't know it has a zoomed out mode, and they may ignore the unique two player mode via link cable. IMHO, that outclasses the unique version of Pac Man created by My Arcade (as software).

Has anyone else encountered any bugs/glitches in Soul Nomad? I got stuck at a certain point in the story because the game keeps freezing, and crashing on me.

I haven't but I had a glitch in that other RPG I reviewed, Savior Of Sapphire Wings or whatever it was. Game ending glitch. Main quest locked up and I never went back. Maybe created when porting these? I dunno.

Call me crazy, but I prefer this version to the quartercade pacman. Nice joystick with 4 way controls and good enough screen. Best way to play pacman IMO is through dos emulation using the arrow keys on a keyboard. The dos game is called pcman. As for modern system., the Namco Arcade collection on the Nintendo Switch is pretty solid since you can rotate the screen and play it vertically. I'm sure the arcade archives has a more authentic pacman but I wouldn't be able to notice the difference.

That looks really good. Having the arcade rom instead of an NES version is also making me tempted. Nothing wrong with NES, but when you have played an arcade game a lot, and you play another that plays a little different you notice it.

Bought from Amazon a few days ago for $57. Can’t wait for it to get here! I’m not a gamer, this will be my one and only console since the late 70s/early 80s. So excited to be able to play Breakout again. I would be completely satisfied if it also had Space Invaders and Frogger, as well as another game we had called Alpine Skiing.

If I was to buy a PS5 right now I'll probably spend a lot of money on it they have to many games for it I'm better off with my OLED and my series s if anything I'll buy a x but I'm waiting for the switch 2 PlayStation is good...I grew up with playstation but I switched to Xbox after my PS4 broke during covid there was no playstations around only Xbox so I switched to Xbox ever since then it was only Xbox lol

My local gamestop didn't have the sign up and when i went to buy he was saying its buy three get one free, and then rung up 4 games when i only had three. In guessing there numbers were low.

@@Emceemur I just called him out and said you scanned that twice, then he did it again and three people who were in the store who I told about the deal looked at me, I said I knew it but didn't blow the kid up as I've known him for atleast two years. I honestly think they had just gotten like 200 plus 360 games mint/complete and wanted dibbs, I got about 15 games at 110$ but 6 of those were higher end, and atleast 4 of those I believe will always be going up in price. Happy hunting and you gotta to the research yourself and always ask about the promotions :) but ultimately fishy from one guy in particular.

The screen is very small can’t almost barely see it / lol 😆 / for me that’s a big take away from me buying one / it’s a pass / It needs a lot better and bigger screen / and a built in rechargeable battery and light up marquee Interesting 🤔 that they getting closer to greatness / but not close enough
