One way to lower complexity is to remove the bearings, that are on the inner side of your spotlights, and connect the two spotlights with blocks, to make it look like a single panel.

It would be pretty awesome to make a turret on the top of the "Hank Tank" so you can set up from a distance and take down farm bots or the raids that come in once you've collected everything. Like a 360° set up with 2-4 spud guns. just an idea. Not sure how much lag it would introduce. Maybe even have it hooked up where you could sit in it and use it, and/or use it from your main drive seat. That way you could take from the two on front and have less resources needed to achieve the goal.

Would it be easier to put the Hank Tank where you want to plant and then just make a 3wide strip that's already inline with the water cannons? It shouldn't noticeably affect the time it takes to pick up crops and wouls save time trying to line up the system multiple times.

Another thing you could do for the steering so there’s not just one shock between the two sides, is use two suspensions per side but the one block drop down that you have make a solid piece between the two and make it spaced enough so you could put one bearing in the middle of that. It’d still have the front end just as stout as before but less bearings

You could add a slideout section in the back right corner that slides out when you exit your seat. It would basically double the space between the craft bot and the wall with your bed. You could put your bed and a dress bot in there while keeping enough space around the craft bot. It would also help balance the weight of the crafting system.

The stairs by the new door need to come out slower for dramatic effect. Right now the speed that piston comes out by is jarring when compared to the speed of the door itself. Also, next time you run over a bot-raid, can you do it in first person? I want to see what the hank tank sees as it murders the blood of the metallic beings.

Do you think for season 2 of the nomad series, if there is one, would you go for a water nomad since this is the land nomad season? You could build a pirate ship fleet! You guys seem to not realize that a boat does not need metal 3 and max thrusters. Survival is meant for progress, so he could just start on a wooden raft and work from there. Scrapman started with a scrap vehicle with terrible wheels, and worked up to the Hank Tank. You guys didn't say the nomad style would not work then because he didn't have the Hank Tank then, so why comment now with boats?

@@Felix_Argyros first: it does not need to start on the water, but the rule is that you can only build water vehicles, or nothing permanent. They don't have to all be mobile, he can do what the Aztecs did, with floating base platforms. For the buoyancy, wood is plentiful in scrap mechanic, so you won't have problems there. And again for thrust, you don't need a level 5 thruster. Just use a level one and upgrade it over time. Like how it is intended. How about you stop hating on people's comments and enjoy the video you toxic jackass ten year old.

Instead of a watering system, you can make a total farming system that places soil plots, seeds, waters, fertilizes, and harvests all in one. Just replace your water dispensers with vacuum pumps.

I think one thing that should be built is a anti tip system. Like a sensor on the underside of each side of the vehicle, so if it gets too far away from the ground, a piston on the opposite side (the side its rolling over to) would extend and push the vehicle back upright. Since thats currently a huge issue with the vehicle, being able to self-right itself on the fly could be really helpful.

You should move the piston up a bit more to the side so that you can extend the water cannons out more(with control). You can water the first three rows and extend the piston some more to water the next three rows. That way you don't have to worry has much about lining the hank tank up over and over.

You could simplify the turning even more if you are ok with steering like that. Just make it into train steering. All wheels connected on the same carriage with the center of the carriage attached to the Hank Tank body used for turning.

6:42 You see the blocks which you deleted from the steering? But other blocks there, to counteract the wobbly wheels by not giving them any space to move into. Just place 2 more blocks above the existing bar connecting the two wheels, and you're good to go.

I don't think the wood is immune to damage anymore, rather it takes sustained hits to break it. At least that's been my experience with concrete 2 walls. I've not been able to just shrug off raids for a while now, I have to actively kill the bots or they grind their way in.

@@Monkey-fv2km You are correct, you can't leave them just beat on the Hank tank. FYI, they don't take "damage", there is a percentage chance it will be destroyed. This does a good job of creating the illusion of random damage. I think every material has a percent chance, so there is no completely safe material anymore. But tougher materials, like wood 3, have a very low chance of being destroyed by greenies and haybots so it can usually survive for a short while with no damage. The problem is crops have a 100% chance of being destroyed, so you have to do something for them.

Great video as always. I would like to see how you'll make explosives so you can get a few wedge pieces, The only way to get wedge pieces in survival is to use the same steps you use to get the encrypted. It does take quite a bit of preparation so I understand why people wouldn't use this method.

2 things i would like to see. you using 3 logic to make a flash circuit. for automated crop unloading. same at the trader. place a sensor and flash circuit to trigger a water cannon pushing button for you when vehicle is on unloading dock.

If you want the steering to look less weird I think I have a way. Make the Hank Tank all-wheel steering again with the new version of your steering mechanism and then turn down the steering range so that the wheels stick out less and you can still do a good ol, whiparound. And if it brings back the oh so common issue of lag then all you have to do is undo.

I’m sure you’re tired of rebuilding your wheel set up but you should build them like an air plane landing gear, not as in they go up and down but two wheels on each side of your suspension. I have mine set up this way and you can turn the engine up all the way and they don’t buckle at all. I hope this helps and makes sense.

Maybe find and way to connect the fuel and water containers to your chest chain so all you have to do to refuel is Craft gas, also maybe make an arm on top of your hank tank to the refill your chain with water and and oil from in the car

You know, it might make sense to build a watering system like you had in your last survival world, just make it portable. That way you can slap it down, let pistons and controllers do all the work for you, then weld it back onto the HankTank like the mining vehicle when you're done, and then you don't have to worry about lining things up, driving at the right speed, and wasting water.

Add a vacuum system so when you ram the bots you pick up their drops too. And you can use it to harvest without getting out of the truck. And make it so you can use it to gather water and chemicals and oil. Make the plots three wide instead of six wide so you can water them all in one go.

get the gamefile installed mod named "fantmod", it allows you to craft wedges in the craftbot, and adds a lot of cool stuff, the newest block is really cool, you place it in the water and leave it there, then you get a output and place it on the ground to get water really quick, output doesn't work when disconnected from the ground, but you can just put it for a little amount of time just to refill

You could set up a railing along the outside of the farm plots and just butt your wheels up against it to line up perfectly. It would be just as temporary as the farm, so I don't think you'd be breaking any rules.
