I Installed an Aquarium in My Bathroom Wall... I'm Excited!

I spent a lot of the week hanging drywall, but I was also working on an incredible project. I intended to share that this week, but I kept finding myself walking through the animal room, imagining things I've planned for years. As I did, I just kept thinking to myself, “follow the passion.” Doing so hasn't failed me yet, so I proceeded to make this video to share what I've been so excited about. I hope that you all enjoy seeing this part of the journey! Also, I want to know, what do you think about the bathroom aquarium? I thought it was a cool idea and kind of humorous. Great video Tanner! This summer I graduated art school and one of the bigest resources for my project was your channel! Again, love seeing the journey! It's exciting indeed!!!! The bathroom aquarium is the best idea! I've been to a nautical-themed restaurant once that had aquariums separating the bar space from the restaurant space, and it meant every table close to the bar had their own aquarium! (we learned that fish love mom, they hung out in her corner the whole time just looking at her lol). And another restaurant had an aquarium as a wall to separate where we wash our hands in the bathroom from the entry hall. It's all so much fun!

I started a horizontal living stream with waterfalls,streams and swamp on my patio . but l may end up with a sunroom so l have to tear it down and start over with an updated idea. Thank you for posting creative content to help those get started in this hobby.

Sepentino! One of the local fish club members here attached a carbon-filtered automated water change system that works on the flusher of the toilet. Every time you flush his toilet, the tank gets a 10% water change or something like that... so a few a day. Pretty impressive.

When I saw the empty floor plan I immediately thought that you could incorporate a kind of kitchen-island-terrarium type of thing, where you can walk around and enjoy from above different environment. A sort of satellite picture or drone point of view. Don't know if I explained it well and in any case I am sure you will come up with great ideas!

Your excitement is absolutely contagious, I can't wait to see everything come together! I do want to offer some layout advice, if you don't mind. The drawing you showed had a dead-end facing the 350gal. I'd highly suggest bringing the row out from the wall so you don't have to walk around everything to get from storage to the work area. Another bit of advice to work out aisle spacing. A general rule of thumb is 36" between racks (for warehouse/storage), which is enough space for a person to turn around with something in their hands (like a box). Another idea would be to have a heavy duty cart for moving tanks between racks, and determining aisle width based on parking a cart next to a rack and having space to remove/place a tank on the rack. This space is definitely going to become jam packed with tanks, I'd really recommend working out minimum spacing so you can plan for expansion/additions.

For the vinyl tiles make sure to get a moisture barrier. It helps with moisture but also dampens noise

There's a siphon you can get that'll make your life so much easier. It's the Python no spill clean and fill hose. It hooks to your faucet and can drain and fill the tank. It's perfect for water changes, and it eliminates the need for hauling buckets around. I know it's made my life a lot easier lol. You should try it out, Tanner. Also love your videos! You're the reason I got into keeping fish!

I believe I know exactly how you are feeling, because I had a similar experience years ago. Mine was a kennel for my dogs. It had everything and a couple of acres of 6 foot fence around it.
