As a fellow 1000rr owner, im loving this build. The cbr doesnt have the high hp numbers like the other japanese bikes, but it has more midrange and a much smoother ride. I just don't need all that extra hp up top. Its rare i get to use the power it has already. Thanks for building something different kountry. looking forward to seeing it dyno

BK, generally the shorter the intake tract the higher the r.p.m. for peak power. Conversely the longer the tract, the peak of the torque curve begins at a lower r.p.m. Several factors, primarily camshaft duration effects the proper length for the desired torque curve. Remember, this is just a generalization. On the carb drag bikes, we change both the length of the stacks as well as the carb to intake length to fine tune where we want the torque curve.

I wonder if all the volosity stack designers/builders will start making fancy dimpled and all type crazy designs for these stringer, Is there a market for that? I say that as the design is Ducati motogp esk but the actual stacks look more standard, Maybe that's a camera thing, But would some hi end dimpled stacks made especially for these stringer's give a big boost even over what these do now?
@bigkountry4 ай бұрын
Doubtful, they are just too pricey for no real gains. Hard to sell $1500 stacks that make less hp numbers than $300 ones

Kountry... you should have cut all the rubber o-rings out before you put the chain on, and showed the haters how stiff the chain is before and after. Definitely sucks, took me like 2hrs..... but she spins so freely..!!! Get after it..!!! Happy New Year brother..!

@dlandrews8348 Жыл бұрын
That exhaust sounds mean as hell..I didn't really like Honda's before this but that thing is beautiful..I believe your going to get more power than you think on Dyno this time.. There's basically nothing else to do to get more power except the race fuel.. Everyone says Honda's burn oil..if you keep the oil changed and clean it isn't going to burn oil..Of course they are going to burn oil when it's black as hell and has over 1000 miles on it. Duh😂

I often wondered why the Honda's are under powered compared to the Kawi's and Zuki's. Is it the design of the head that restricts power in order to pass emissions? I'm sure there is more to it than that but I'm curious if it's a flow issue. Does anyone know?
@kevinquigley1555 Жыл бұрын
I'm looking more into it all. I also have a cbr1000rr as my first liter bike. I've ridden the kawi as well and like how the honda feels. It lacks the 20hp up top. but if compaired to the other japanese bikes of the same year, it has 20 more hp in the middle of the rev range than the other bikes. Feels a little smoother without that crazy punch up top. If someone is wanting to get big hp for roll racing, the other bikes are the way to go.
@bigkountry Жыл бұрын
They definitely have a very restricted head, I actually have 2 Cbr 1000 that I am doing. The other one is gonna have head work and cams built by Htp performance. It will be interesting to see the hp gain from a head done by one of the best in the business
@julioburgos4979 Жыл бұрын

This specific model was built for cornering not necessarily for straight, the idea was "total control" which is honda focused on making this model lightweight that makes it really fast on corners.
