Met these guys back in 2007, they were traveling to a show. I couldn't get my hood to square up on my Classic, these guys went out in the parking lot and got down on the ground and showed me what to adjust. These guys were tv famous, they could have told me to piss off.

I really appreciate that interview. I've always really liked Bryan. His background is alot like mine. My dad, uncles, grandpa all of them are in trucks now or were at one time. I grew up around it and now own a truck myself. I remember as kid helping my dad on alot of weekends change tires on his truck. We didn't have a big air compressor or impact wrench, we had a long cheater pipe and a big lug wrench. And of course, they were all budd wheels.

I feel like a lot of chrome businesses are missing out on the new generation that drives aero trucks like the 579, Volvo, and Cascadia. A good chunk of those guys make a lot of money and they never feel accepted by the hood truck old trucker crowd.

There's a lot of stuff for those trucks but truth is, those owners don't really seem to care about blinging out those trucks. You want to see piss poor aftermarket support... own a freightliner coronado glider, I have a bitch of a time finding accessories. Columbia and century have all kinds of shit available.

FYI, big hoods aren't an old man thing, lots of young guys want a big hood. The real question is, why do guys like you talk shit on guys with hood trucks?

@@TheRoadhammer379 I own and operate a 1999 Freightliner Classic XL high roof and the group of 579 and W900 “hood truck” guys are so extremely toxic it’s unreal. I literally have a longer hood than those trucks and just because I have a Freightliner and a tall sleeper they freak out and push these Classic trucks out of their truck shows. We all beat diesel into the same roads and do the same job. You won’t get loaded any different because your truck looks a certain way or has extra chrome and lights. Ever since aero trucks came out in the early 2000’s the old school truckers started the hate against them. I guarantee you every driver of a aero truck wants to drive a 579 and would get along just fine with the owners if we started fresh. But it’s the guys behind the hood truck with a head full of hot air that think differently. They’re not willing to accept the new generation. That’s why drivers of aero trucks hate the hood truck drivers. Because they’re so far up their coal stacks they won’t accept anyone else or even give them a wave or flashers on the road.
