Back when he “purchased” the land, I remember someone telling me his elderly dad was getting the shake down by Suckaturds “lawyers”, who he described as a bunch of muscular guys. He said they would show up frequently trying to intimidate his dad into selling his land, to the point where it was probably harassment. If it’s true, I can’t imagine his dad was the only one this was happening to.

BEACH ACCESS Shoreline public access is an important common law right that is shared by local residents and visitors alike. The right of access to Hawaii’s shorelines includes the right of transit along the shoreline and within beach transit corridors. Beach transit corridors are defined as the areas extending seaward of the shoreline and these areas are considered public property (HRS §115-5, HRS §205A-1). It’s unlikely that Zuck has bodyguards that kick people off of “His” beach, because he doesn’t own it, and it would be unlawful. Locals would absolutely not stand for that, they know the law and are very protective of beach access. I’m willing to bet locals would even go so far as to gang up and beat up the bodyguards if they did so.

So Nick, I live on Maui. Been here from Georgia for 36 years. Anyway, I watch your shows here and there. Today you have me in stitches. I've been to Kauai. Totally wet place. I think everyone who is a local in a community that could be considered "God's country"- who struggles for conservation sake to preserve what all the tourists want to enjoy on weekends- has grown weary of the poor attitudes of the citiots and the disrespect of land and locals. We deal with 💩 people in Minnesota tourist towns, too. I have seen hundreds of thousands of people come for ice fishing and leave all their human waste out on the ice- which obviously becomes contamination of our crystal clear lake beaches. Weather you're visiting Minnesota or Hawaii, please be respectful of the locals who work hard to maintain the natural environment you love to visit. We have cameras everywhere too- please leave things a little nicer than you found it. 🥰

On one of my days off, I went to Georgetown in Colorado to walk around the lake. There was a small Mexican family. The young mother had changed her babies diaper and just tossed it aside. There was also a bag on the ground further on. I picked the bag up, went back and rolled the diaper up and put it in the trash nearby. All the while looking at the mother, not saying a word. Nick so happy you both loved the island! Kauai is known as “The Garden Isle” and Oahu is “The Gathering Place”, these things they teach us from small kid time. Born and raised on Kauai 👋🏾 saw your drone footage of my neighborhood🤙🏾 Here to survive, a lot of locals live in multi-generational family homes. Also, the price you saw for milk in Foodland was the sale price in yellow 😆 Wild chickens were once domestic animals who escaped their backyard dwellings during hurricane Iniki in the early 90’s. We used to have more chickens but the county hires eradicators 😢 they also eradicate cats. I can’t believe you picked up those toads 🤣 I know them as cane toads and they carry toxins as a defense, they can grow very large, larger than the ones you filmed. I have several of those toads in our yard that come out at night that remind me of Jabba the Hutt! This is true what you brought up about the prices of homes here. You practically have to be a millionaire to buy a house here 😢 Local people have been “priced out of paradise” and droves of them have moved across the US continent to be able to afford homes and a more affordable way to live.

As someone who used to live here, it does look very picturesque to the average joe - but they don't see the invisible predators that make it tough to live here. The mosquitoes, centipedes and alll the critters that come along with really wet environments will make sure things "look" nice and keep all of the carelessness off of the island. So besides how costly it is to live here, if you're a mosquito magnet - forget about it. You'll get bitten to the point of insanity and that is sadly what drove me out of the island (and I tried everything, from the natural remedies to the DEET crap).

Aloha. Being a resident of Kauai, I gotta say that you have north and south mixed up. Zuck lives on the north shore. The more inaccessible the beach, the better. However, those beaches are usually very dangerous and tend to have rip currents. Tourists, we’ve come to find out, don’t know or just don’t care and swim anyway. A lot of times, they won’t live to tell anybody how awesome that beach is...

@@kevinspilker6622 Mahalo Kevin… unfortunately many Americans in fact DO defend imperialism, typically with baseless “if it wasn’t us, it would’ve been someone else” claims… as if that justifies crimes. Imagine using that as your defense in court “your honor, if I hadn’t killed him, someone worse would’ve done it, he should be grateful it was me and not someone worse.” lol 🤦🏽‍♀️

I live in Kauai lol just so you know those toads are poisonous lol. Thank you so much for showing our island! If you ever go again you gotta go to the Waimea Canyon in the morning. It is less foggy and the views are stunning! You can camp at Kokee in the mountains and then see the Waimea Canyon in the morning. Also, you gotta check out Kalihiwai Beach if you ever go again. Did you know the chickens were actually largely introduced because of the underground chicken fighting rings, and then during Hurricane Anini they all got loose and here they are! Anyway appreciate you sharing the culture. Aloha!

Where was that video of the squirrel from while you told everyone we have mongoose? There are no mongoose on Kauai. They first brought them to Hawaii to kill the rats But they rats slept during the day so the mongoose never saw rats but Kauai people refused to bring them over. Oh and It sure does seam like are main highway is a little road out in the middle of nowhere doesn’t it. Kaumakani almost burned up July 16. The brush fire got up to the buildings where the pay phone was. About 1000 acres burned. For an update

That surfboard that broke in half is easily 50 years old so no great loss. Foodland in Hawaii is like Safeway on the mainland. Kind of the big major supermarket chain. I worked for them a bit as a young adult. As always, if you insist on eating like a mainlander, food's gonna be expensive and if you eat like a local it will cost a lot less. The catch here is I don't know how to learn to eat like a local unless you grow up in Hawaii among local people.
