This is why the conspiracy is that Thugs are manufactured by the system itself. Can you imagine if these boys were driven to want to engage in politics. If they formed organizations that emphasized the importance of finishing school to have a chance at making real change through an involvement in Business and politics. That poses a direct threat to those cushy seats in power right now. Thugs are dealt with using police and detectives. but how do you deal with organized groups of Boys and girls who seek to remove you from council and seek to build schools and factories for people to work in. how do you deal with people who want to change the status quo..@@reality_is_the_key

I’m born and raised in New Orleans, and I can tell you first hand. This is probably one of the only videos like this where I see no exaggeration. New Orleans was always bad, but after Katrina everyone had to move into neighborhoods they wouldn’t even think of stepping foot into prior to Katrina. It caused chaos. People now had to live next door to dudes they were shooting at just months before. People from different projects (certain projects don’t get along with other projects) now had to be right across the street from one another. Made shooting one of your “enemies” allot easier.

I live in a small village in Indonesia, where everyone looks after each other and lives with nature. In the past few months I have watched several documentary videos from this channel and it feels very scary because there is a lifestyle like this out there, even children carry things they shouldn't carry, drugs and weapons. I hope the kids and teenagers there don't fall into the same hole and change the community there for the better in the future.

I’m from Baton Rouge and I was graduating high school with ppl who basically couldn’t read and could barely do elementary arithmetic. If some of the graduates can barely read that means the kids dropping out, a lot of them in the 8th grade bc they failed so much, are actually a step above mentally disabled.

I’ve said it for years, this is how they dumb down society, and the more ignorant your citizens, the easier it is to control them. I’m 57 years old and when I was in school, the classes we could take were endless. Focusing only on reading, writing and arithmetic, has not only made school abundantly boring, it narrows the opportunities children have. Children need to be engaged.

That's false hope my dude. Rap/Black culture will NEVER be outgunned by school. Black culture is what's keeping the black community down. LMAO at "hope" being something that exists in the ghetto. These places only have one direction they will ever go and that's downhill, until they eventually become ghost neighborhoods like you see in Detroit and Camden and other inner cities. By then the parasites will have migrated into surrounding suburbs and turned those into ghettos, which will eventually become ghost towns. Lather rinse, repeat. Exact same process that happens to most malls. Good mall > ghetto mall > ghost mall > closed mall.

"It's mandatory that you hustle in the City of New Orleans." I grew up in New Orleans, and I came from a lower class upbringing. I got my first job when I was 14 and went from there. One of the silver lining in New Orleans is that if you're honest and hard working, you can excel quite easily because there is so little competition! If you want a job, go find one, work hard, save your money, you can build a good life like I did. It's only your own mental defeatism and pessimism that keeps you poor and destitute if you're not even trying to make an honest living. After 30 years, I left the city of New Orleans. My wife and I have a house we own in a small rural town and a baby on the way. No regrets, it is sad to see New Orleans, the city I grew up in, a city I still love and have many friends and family in going downhill like this, but my advice to my loved ones is and has been to leave, it is a sinking ship that is only getting worse. The narrative that Katrina is the cause for the desolation of New Orleans is laughable. Of course it's true that the city was devastated, my Dad's house flooded, but if you look at a smart, culturally city like Hiroshima or Nagasaki, they were largely rebuilt into clean, function cities roughly 7 years after being bombed with nukes. New Orleans has had almost 20 years at this point, it's clear that something else is going on. The city is rotten and unhealthy, culturally, socially, politically, and that is why it has not, and probably never will fully heal from Katrina, blaming that on Katrina is missing the point. Side note, I lived uptown right next Chicken and Watermelon, they head GREAT fried Okra, fresh watermelon juice (obviously) and a really funny painting of Obama playing pool with JayZ and Lil Wayne.

The whole city is broken from the Hurricanes. Tax dollars went way down, so a bunch of budget cuts. Cops get some of the lowest salaries in the country, so they are susceptible to bribery due to any above average person applying at other departments for more money, so they get the bottom of the barrel. The housing is pretty "affordable" compared to other cities that size, but that's because they're all broken down. And then the good houses are borderline gated communities if they aren't in one already because they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on armed security and HOA's have to provide basic city services. So yea... not a good future for those guys.

I see your reasoning but as a Canadian, the problem isn’t cities, it’s the governmental support systems and laws. There are cities with lower crime rates than certain small towns in the world - it really depends on how poverty is alleviated and the regulation of weapons. This is wild, bc I'm literally born and raised in NOLA. Lived there (except when I went away to college and when I briefly lived in Atlanta and NYC), and this couldn't be farther from my experience. I moved to Dallas a couple years ago, though. Never really saw any of the crime myself (it was kinda like background noise on the news that I could basically ignore), went to a top school, always felt safe walking around to the places I wanted to go. As a teen, the most "crime" I got into would be more considered pranks by today's standards (like we "broke into" Hagen Daas after hours and stole a tub of ice cream lol). But post-college, I made a friend who grew up literally a few blocks over from where I lived and her experience is more in line with this video. She had been shot several times, was trafficked as a child, had to do sex work to survive, and recently died of an OD. I couldn't believe all this was going on within a few blocks from me! It's like we lived in parallel universes. And before anyone asks 😒, I'm black, but my friend, Nicole (R.I.P.) was white. I'm in the process of adopting her daughter, since she has no other family. I want her to have a life like I had. NOLA is truly a tale of two cities.

2:44 I looked up his name alongside New Orleans and an article from January 2014 was one of the first links. In it it reads that at around 1:50 am, the suspect Joshua Adams was pulled over for “driving with what appeared to be an altered temporary license plate.” Police removed the suspect from the vehicle for officer safety after they saw him chewing on a white powdery substance they believed to be cocaine. The suspect was then arrested for an outstanding attachment and obstructing justice by appearing to swallow cocaine. For medical reasons, police supervisor asked Adams what he had swallowed and noticed he was still chewing on the substance. The officers attempted to have the suspect spit the substance out, but police say he began spitting blood and became unresponsive. Adams was then transported to the Ochsner hospital where he died. Police say testing at the hospital revealed cocaine and marijuana in his system. A background check showed that he had a previous charge for cocaine 7 years prior to the incident. So via this article it appears that this case is far from police brutality, and instead that his brother-in-law was on cocaine and died via complications.

Good parents is an understatement. The pleasure of sex is chosen over the purpose of sex (marriage and family). So the cycle continues there just like Memphis. But I will keep reaching out my hand serving others for the few that might listen one day.

@@user-vq1ne6es5m they were nice, then criminals moved in, chased all the decent businesses and people out. Now they can’t get out of the hole they dug for themselves because anyone with the wherewithal got the hell out. That leaves nothing but incompetent and corrupt people to run the local government. Like in Camden, Nj, those people are often in cahoots with the same criminals running the open air drug markets. NJs solution was to absolve the local government, create a county police force, have the state run the city because the residents were so incompetent they couldn’t find anyone that was able to do it. So, they’ve actually cleaned up the downtown and north Camden sections of the city. The Philadelphia 76ers opened their training facility, there is now a massive hospital/campus facility. The streets are clean. The city is still super poor but getting better, but they got rid of the crime so at least there is opportunity now. This pretty much proves the point that poverty doesn’t cause crime, crime causes poverty. Get rid of the crime and business returns and opportunities abound.

The pleasure of sex over the purpose of children. Children are a by-product of sex instead of family planning, investing morality, etc. There are 3 fruits of sexual in: fatherlessness, STDs, and abortion. Fatherlessness has risen to epidemic levels and can't hide anymore. And, women who have fathers for their children don't let them lead in the rearing of the children. So homes with men in them are still fatherless. @@smelltheglove2038

I listen to that man Complain about black people using the n-word more times than I could count for 2 hours at a funeral. 5 months before that I was at a party under I-10 being the only white person there and had a mother f****** blast. At 2:50, one time I was delivering to fuel express and it was later than I normally would deliver and people were selling drugs literally all around me. But just like people said in the video, as long as I didn't make eye contact with anyone they didn't really mess with me. Wow, we need more educators like that guy talking to the band class. I went to a fairly well-off public school, financially speaking, and we didn't have a single staff member willing to be that real with the students. Today's kids and young adults need guidance, and too many educators are scared to hold their ground, reprimand, or criticize negative behavior due to how a lot of students and their parents react. At my school, if a teacher talked that way to students, even if they were right and justified, they'd probably get fired due to students and parents causing a fuss.

I’m a 20 year old from New Orleans, I go to school here and I have lived here my whole life. Throughout my life, I’ve heard of people who have died that I’ve known. It came to a bit of a harsh realization last year when I was 19 when I learned that someone I knew in high school died, and when I was 14 when a kid I went to middle school with was murdered. Even though it’s the murder capital, I promise that the whole city isn’t just this unsafe haven. There are certain parts that are more dangerous than others, but staying on like Carrolton or near the Levee in Algiers is a pretty safe place to be at times. I’ve gone on nighttime walks, and I don’t fear anything because I’m tall and large, and I know how to mind my business and keep safe, but it’s crazy hearing these peoples stories because I’ve heard them my whole life. It’s become pretty normal to hear this from my friends parents who live on Freret or in the Ninth Ward. It’s even crazier to see some of these comments from people who aren’t from here because it’s such a surprise to hear from them, but it’s become completely normalized to me. Really insane in retrospect to see how normal it is.
@melizzamelizza Жыл бұрын
That ain't normal what you're living. The crazy thing is hip hop is creating this environment and the pathology of the hood is toxic. This shouldn't be life. Young Man travel and see the world. Get out of Blackistan.
