I love the band director. He knows how to reach these kids. I live in Knoxville & a few years ago at one of the high schools in a predominantly black area the gang problem got really, really bad and in one year I think like 6 teenagers who were either current or former student got shot and most of them died in shootings related to gangs. After that, the community came together & even more money was put in their music programs. They have a west african drum ensemble that did a event called "drums up, guns down." And from what I've heard it's helped changed these kids' lives.

The business owners are the only hope. No one else is showing those children any other way of life. It looks like it's a 90/10 ratio. 90% thugs and 10% actual role models. With those numbers, the cycle is just going to continue, especially where it's glorified in music, videos, and just day to day life. New Orleans has always been dangerous, but it seems that it has peaked in the last 3 years. It's sad.

This is why the conspiracy is that Thugs are manufactured by the system itself. Can you imagine if these boys were driven to want to engage in politics. If they formed organizations that emphasized the importance of finishing school to have a chance at making real change through an involvement in Business and politics. That poses a direct threat to those cushy seats in power right now. Thugs are dealt with using police and detectives. but how do you deal with organized groups of Boys and girls who seek to remove you from council and seek to build schools and factories for people to work in. how do you deal with people who want to change the status quo..@@reality_is_the_key

God Bless! And also, He doesn't want you to go to Hell, but He wants you to go to Heaven with Him but you have to be Saved. How do I get Saved you might ask? Here are the steps below on how to get Saved! 1. Believe that God sent His Son (Jesus) to die on a cross for your sins and that He rose again from the dead 3 days later. 2. Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and ask forgiveness for your sins and Turn away from your sins. If you sin again after asking forgiveness of that sin, ask forgiveness again and try not to do it ever again. Jesus will forgive you! 3. That's false hope my dude. Rap/Black culture will NEVER be outgunned by school. Black culture is what's keeping the black community down. LMAO at "hope" being something that exists in the ghetto. These places only have one direction they will ever go and that's downhill, until they eventually become ghost neighborhoods like you see in Detroit and Camden and other inner cities. By then the parasites will have migrated into surrounding suburbs and turned those into ghettos, which will eventually become ghost towns. Lather rinse, repeat. Exact same process that happens to most malls. Good mall > ghetto mall > ghost mall > closed mall.

I was born and raised in New Orleans East, back in the day in the 70s and 80s it was a popping place. You had the plaza mall and all sorts of places to eat and shop with all the business they had but now its all gone. What was already declining before Katrina hit, Katrina put the nail in the coffin. The plaza mall was torn down and all those shopping centers were all torn down, nothing left but concrete from the parking lots to let You know that anything was there at some point in time. It really breaks My heart to see all the places I visited and hung out at is all gone and is just a memory.

I’m born and raised in New Orleans, and I can tell you first hand. This is probably one of the only videos like this where I see no exaggeration. New Orleans was always bad, but after Katrina everyone had to move into neighborhoods they wouldn’t even think of stepping foot into prior to Katrina. It caused chaos. People now had to live next door to dudes they were shooting at just months before. People from different projects (certain projects don’t get along with other projects) now had to be right across the street from one another. Made shooting one of your “enemies” allot easier.

I live in a small village in Indonesia, where everyone looks after each other and lives with nature. In the past few months I have watched several documentary videos from this channel and it feels very scary because there is a lifestyle like this out there, even children carry things they shouldn't carry, drugs and weapons. I hope the kids and teenagers there don't fall into the same hole and change the community there for the better in the future.

Whoever is reading this, I wanted to say I hope you have a great day and that God loves you so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross for your sins and He rose again from the dead three days later. 3. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and your life and for Him to be your Lord and Savior forever. 4. Build a Personal Relationship with Jesus by Praying and Reading the Bible daily and Live for Him Forever. I'm Praying for you and you are loved (Romans 10:9-13)

The whole city is broken from the Hurricanes. Tax dollars went way down, so a bunch of budget cuts. Cops get some of the lowest salaries in the country, so they are susceptible to bribery due to any above average person applying at other departments for more money, so they get the bottom of the barrel. The housing is pretty "affordable" compared to other cities that size, but that's because they're all broken down. And then the good houses are borderline gated communities if they aren't in one already because they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on armed security and HOA's have to provide basic city services. So yea... not a good future for those guys.

ALMIGHTY GOD KABIR is the father of all souls that JESUS, MOHAMMAD, GURU NANAK, VEDH was telling in BIBLE, QURAN, GURU GRANTHA SAHEB Who is complete God? Iyov 36:5 - Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB) See, El is Kabir, and despiseth, not any; He is Kabir in ko’ach lev (strength of understanding). Translation: Supreme God is Kabir, but despises no one. He is Kabir, and firm in his purpose. In all Bible translations, the word Kabir has been translated as "Mighty" or "Great" whereas Kabir is the original name of Supreme God. Conclusion: This verse of the Bible proves that Kabir is Complete God. The one who worships God Kabir by taking initiation from the complete saint sent by him gets complete salvation. After attaining salvation that souls rest in peace in the eternal abode Satlok forever. The throne of God is in Satlok( ETERNAL PLACE) 😊😊 God Kabir met Jesus and took his soul to Satlok. On their way, God Kabir made him see his ancestors David, Moses, Abraham, etc. in the Pitra Lokas. Then God took him to Satlok😊

This is wild, bc I'm literally born and raised in NOLA. Lived there (except when I went away to college and when I briefly lived in Atlanta and NYC), and this couldn't be farther from my experience. I moved to Dallas a couple years ago, though. Never really saw any of the crime myself (it was kinda like background noise on the news that I could basically ignore), went to a top school, always felt safe walking around to the places I wanted to go. As a teen, the most "crime" I got into would be more considered pranks by today's standards (like we "broke into" Hagen Daas after hours and stole a tub of ice cream lol). But post-college, I made a friend who grew up literally a few blocks over from where I lived and her experience is more in line with this video. She had been shot several times, was trafficked as a child, had to do sex work to survive, and recently died of an OD. I couldn't believe all this was going on within a few blocks from me! It's like we lived in parallel universes. And before anyone asks 😒, I'm black, but my friend, Nicole (R.I.P.) was white. I'm in the process of adopting her daughter, since she has no other family. I want her to have a life like I had. NOLA is truly a tale of two cities.

"It's mandatory that you hustle in the City of New Orleans." I grew up in New Orleans, and I came from a lower class upbringing. I got my first job when I was 14 and went from there. One of the silver lining in New Orleans is that if you're honest and hard working, you can excel quite easily because there is so little competition! If you want a job, go find one, work hard, save your money, you can build a good life like I did. It's only your own mental defeatism and pessimism that keeps you poor and destitute if you're not even trying to make an honest living. After 30 years, I left the city of New Orleans. My wife and I have a house we own in a small rural town and a baby on the way. No regrets, it is sad to see New Orleans, the city I grew up in, a city I still love and have many friends and family in going downhill like this, but my advice to my loved ones is and has been to leave, it is a sinking ship that is only getting worse. The narrative that Katrina is the cause for the desolation of New Orleans is laughable. Of course it's true that the city was devastated, my Dad's house flooded, but if you look at a smart, culturally city like Hiroshima or Nagasaki, they were largely rebuilt into clean, function cities roughly 7 years after being bombed with nukes. New Orleans has had almost 20 years at this point, it's clear that something else is going on. The city is rotten and unhealthy, culturally, socially, politically, and that is why it has not, and probably never will fully heal from Katrina, blaming that on Katrina is missing the point. Side note, I lived uptown right next Chicken and Watermelon, they head GREAT fried Okra, fresh watermelon juice (obviously) and a really funny painting of Obama playing pool with JayZ and Lil Wayne.

culture is a consequence of the economy, since the economy generates material and spiritual benefits. Place people of any race in conditions of extreme poverty and you get high crime (tested 1991). The main problem is that most African Americans do not have the opportunity to improve their well-being legally, the only option left is robbery. To solve this problem, it is necessary to at least provide free education of good quality. In the given conditions, business is powerless, since it satisfies only effective demand (and as I wrote above, these people are able to pay for such services), then only the state can solve this problem, but for it this issue is not a priority or significant.

@enoerofebowtb7571 2 ай бұрын
@katmama …but isn’t that mindset almost exactly the centuries old problem; expecting, and even “hoping” and waiting for “those running for office,” and those in office, in an already and long established racially rigged system, “can succeed in some positive change,” instead making change begin with you while at the same time demanding and thereby insuring that government do its part in guarding that effort by itself being just and responsible to that justness? The problem, in my humble opinion, begins first with the person themselves, then with the family, then with “community”, then with society at large, then with government, then first with government, then with society at large, then with “community,” then with family, then first with the person themselves…? One thing’s for sure, an uneducated race of people with regards to ethics, morality, and intellectual knowledge in this late day and age ain’t long for existence…? It’s just a short matter of time. They bleeped the old white man’s comment when he was asked what he thought the solution is. I’m willing to bet my last dollar he said something along the lines of, “exterminate em.’ And he meant it… and meant the entire race, and not merely and only the bad elements of the race! Which says an awful about him as well as points to one of the other crux’s of the whole entire matter and problem. When he says nigga, he means something altogether and entirely different from what black people mean when they say it. Although, nonetheless, the use of the term within the race by members of the race with mutual regards to itself and members within the race itself is in and of itself one of the many detrimental problems among a whole host of other problems within and among the race. But, nevertheless, at the rate and manner and method at and by which things are going, the race will exterminate itself, without much if any help from the outside. Over the long centuries, the outside has been effective and has done and still maintains its destructive effect upon the race. So…, it’s now time, and has now long long been time for the race to lift itself up, to uplift itself and while demanding of government, not beg government and “hope,” according to the responsibilities and obligations and sworn duties of government to all its citizens to honor, guard all and every effort of that uplift, as much as humanly possible. To the degree with which the race hates the principles of truth, ethics, morality, courage, and integrity; and fear and frown upon education, independence, self-independence, and freedom and the responsibilities, and self responsibility, and sense of responsibility towards others which all come with freedom, the race is already doomed towards extinction. Generally speaking, it’s like the race went through 12 or more years of secondary school, then came out with less than a first-grade “education,” but expects a job, then protests when it’s not hired….? You gotta put in the work ..no other way around it! As it should be!

I had fun living there off and on for 8 years (2004-2008, 2014-2018), but would never move back. The is some great food and music and some genuinely nice salt of the earth people, but the crime, poverty and insecurity outweighs the good. I hope that they can somehow break the cycle of crime, violence and poverty.

Why don't you investigate Ukraine and Russia or Gaza and Israel murders / wars? KZbin in known for oppressing black people just like the entire US and the world. However, non-blacks can start wars kill hundreds of thousands other non-blacks and nothing is said about them. Russia’s military casualties, the officials said, are approaching 300,000. The number includes as many as 120,000 deaths and 170,000 to 180,000 injured troops. The Russian numbers dwarf the Ukrainian figures, which the officials put at close to 70,000 killed and 100,000 to 120,000 wounded. These are not black people they actually look a lot like you.

I’m so glad Tyler finally visited my home of New Orleans and shed light and this sad reality of the city. The crime was already rising in the 90’s but Katrina was kinda like that extra push that resulted in the violence that the city experiences today. I also feel like Tyler should had showed how close the nicer and more beautiful parts of the city are close to the more Lower income parts of the city.

Bullshit. There were no hurricanes in Chicago, or Memphis, or Philly, or Baltimore, or Detroit, or St Louis, or Atlanta, or Jacksonville, or DC, or a hundred other US cities I could mention, yet all those places have the exact same problems. I remember New Orleans back in the Cash Money/No Limit era, and it was a lawless ghetto war zone with the Nolia, Calliope, Melphy, Desire, St Thomas, and countless other projects that made Juarez Mexico seem like Wonderland by comparison. Stop making excuses, crime was horrible in NOLA decades before the hurricane happened.

I lived in cities (Philadelphia) I’ve lived in smaller towns, I’ve lived in the middle of nowhere. I will never forget how different each of these lifestyles can be. I really wish sometimes I could show people who live in high crime zones how peaceful it can be when your nearest neighbor is 4 miles away. If you can, parents need to get their kids far away from this situation. Teacher did great, holding the kids accountable.

@@up-uw4op I’m not sure what lack of resources you’re referring to but we have everything available to us within driving distance, and in a small town, walking distance. The cost of living outside of a city is far cheaper, I mean rentals popping off at about 700 a month, whereas you go 30 minutes south to the city it’s 1200 a month for the same living style.

@@Wetdoor in Wisconsin and Michigan the small towns had no daycare available for parents to work. The groceries were very expensive and so was gas to drive long distance. No extracurricular activities for kids unless you were able to drive an hour one way. Not everyone can handle the loneliness either if they have no family or friends in the area and no one to rely on in emergencies. People had the same hood mentality in each place Ive lived.

I see your reasoning but as a Canadian, the problem isn’t cities, it’s the governmental support systems and laws. There are cities with lower crime rates than certain small towns in the world - it really depends on how poverty is alleviated and the regulation of weapons. When a population is placed under desperate circumstances, they will resort to crime.

Crazy thing is New Orleans has, generally speaking atleast, the better public schools in the state. I’m from Baton Rouge and I was graduating high school with ppl who basically couldn’t read and could barely do elementary arithmetic. If some of the graduates can barely read that means the kids dropping out, a lot of them in the 8th grade bc they failed so much, are actually a step above mentally disabled.
