A special random encounter in Goa with a kind man. The kind of meeting of locals that I often experience but rarely film but this time I kept recording. I've cut the footage for brevity but also not too much because I wanted to show a part of travel that's fundamental to me. It's not about filming buildings or nature, it's about these chance encounters somewhere halfway around the world that just click in the moment.

And btw, vada was and is originally/traditionally eaten without pav in Maharashtra...just as you like it. Eating vada with pav started later...maybe 50-60 years back...mainly as street food to make it more filling.

Yea, tourist Goa in a nutshell. Even locals get mad at seemingly very local places because of the prices. One Goan man I was talking to told me to stop buying samosas at my regular place and go to a different lady with a tiny shop down the road who was selling them for almost half the price. Cheers

Portuguese also ruled sone parts of India . Like Goa and Mumbai. Infact portuguese were the first people from west to come to India. After that british came , then they had fight and eventually portuguese got defeated and they had to hand over Mumbai to British. ❤

You're right, that's why the history fascinates me. Funny thing is though the Portuguese gave the most important Bombay islands to Britain as part of a royal marriage dowry. Who actually later defeated the remaining Portuguese in that area were the mighty Maharashtras who were getting stronger, ready to even take on the Mughals but then the British expanded and the rest is history. 🙏
