You contradicted yourself in your own comment. The alcohol is literally why everyone was able to have a good time. It allowed them to let their guard down and open up. You even said you could tell people were drinking, then you said this proves you don't need alcohol to have a good time. How do those two sentences line up? They don't. A party WITH alcohol in NO WAY can "prove" anything about a party without alcohol. You're missing half of the data that you are trying to compare. Quit being such a stooge and have a drink. As someone who was previously a complete extrovert and as I aged noticed a strong growth in being more introverted (social time drains me more than it used to, no matter the company) I had some thoughts and feelings to share with you. First off, this is all from the personal experience of my anecdotal armchair, but I'm sharing it in case you may find something helpful that applies to you. Secondly: Your comment suggests a pretty extreme level of isolation for you to lose any existing relationships (Please correct me if I'm wrong). I obviously don't know if that's the degree you meant, but if it is, it usually is attached to other variations of heavy shit. I've had my share of what I'd consider "dark" but over the years I've managed to keep the people around me in the dark on many levels (casual, professional etc). Generally speaking: If I didn't start getting help to sort out that part of my emotions and behavior, I'd be a VERY different person today. Assess your personal realm, and I mean that by your own "safe space comfort + habits" and choices and how damaging they end up for what you intrinsically want. Reading this may feel counterintuitive but you may not realize what you've done to keep people away for the sake of them noticing how you are treating yourself and living your own life. I'm not privy with youtube chats and shit, but if there's a way to directly msg me, please feel free. I'd be happy to chat further. Wishing you well.

We all have sinned, and have broken God’s law (The Ten Commandments). Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for us, so that we may have everlasting life. Now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and you will you be saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Turn away from sin, read Bible, pray for Jesus to reveal Himself to you and change you, seek to do what is right according to the Bible. Much love and God bless.

I also have anxiety because I have no motivation to talk to strangers and barely my family and friends. I've recently done market research where I was forced to ask strangers about my product and it felt different, and leagues easier to walk up to people because I had a motivation/starting thought already in my mind on WHY I needed to talk to people. What I do is simply acknowledge that as the thought and subsequent feeling that it is and nothing more. They are valid and worthy of their momentary very brief existence which is why I acknowledge them, and BE with them when they do arise. Then I do whatever it is that triggered the thought to begin with ignoring the thoughts and feelings if they just so happen to stick around as I've already acknowledged them and sat with them for a moment, however long that may be you'll just know. Let them get the best of you the opportunity to take action will be missed. Funny thing is, they never seem to stick around throughout the act. In fact, they dissolve rather quickly usually the first few seconds within taking action, but they are welcome to stick around throughout the entirety of the act if they ever were to do so. At the point of taking action it really no longer matters if they stay or go. Forgive the mind and body, take the position of being their guide and witness, don't take them personally nor seriously, just take them sincerely. Be a loving guide for them proving to them that you are a trustworthy loving guide after all and eventually those type of thoughts and feelings will fade entirely as it all becomes more and more a familiar type of act for you. Everything when unfamiliar or uncertain seems to call us forth from us to be cautious (attentive to what seems unknown) and therefore, fully present. Taking action doesn't require thought so no need to over think things. In my direct experience over thinking leads to missed opportunities. This works for me, and I only share that it may be helpful for you, but if it doesn't work for you know that is perfectly okay too. Seek the source of your deepest longing, your (spiritual) heart already knows. May the peace that cannot be understood, unconditional love, and endless bliss be yours...as it already is, but may you remember that it is your true nature!

I think it's awesome that you guys were able to do this! I'd really want to be able to reach out more to strangers and connect with people like this, but its really challenging to do it by yourself. Especially being a female, I find it really intimidating to go up to strangers and try to connect with them. I was curious to know how you guys came together to create this channel and any advice you'd give for those that are trying to connect with people in this way.

I think most guys would be more open to being approached than most women.
@ZIbroweed Жыл бұрын
@@-_James_- While this is undoubtedly true it is largely for physical safety reasons and those reason apply as the approachee as well, though perhaps a bit reduced. From a physically intimidating and safety perspective being a female would make this much harder if she doesn't have safe guy friends to do it with.
@ZIbroweed Жыл бұрын
That being said if you were a guy without a gal friend trying to do this it would just fail every time. You would maybe get one or two guys who really like board games, but no gal would ever say "yes" and far fewer men would.

This is really heartwarming to see man. Covid detached me from my social environment pretty hard, especially since I moved to a new city right before it all started. Were you having alcohol during the party? I can't drink due to a medical condition and often feel like missing out on the spontaneity it brings about in people. I live in a country where people are relatively introverted and where alcohol use is a focal point during parties. When I join friends during late nights out I feel like I am weirding others out being sober amidst everyone else being tipsy (or drunk).

"Either we meet new friends or we gonna get robbed." Well, I guess either way someone's gonna be happy... Don't rob people, folks! I'd say, honestly I wouldn't do this because I don't know if I would just trust some stranger who invited me into their house. I Know, not everyone has bad intentions and being open can really lead to wonderful surprises (found my college friends that way). So, even if I'm a little bit cautious about this, there are people who are perfectly fine with a situation like this and this is ok too. Everyone is different.
