Pitting is the move. When you are behind you are in control because you can always catch up, so passing is a mistake. You want to convert your control into a pit. So then the game is really who can stay behind each other because it's the winning position.

Don't be silly dude, there are Central Stations all over the world. It does not refer to "Grand Central Terminal" in New York. By itself the term "central station" ("centraal station" in Dutch) is simply the designation for the main (train) station at the center of a city or region. There are hundreds if not thousands of stations called "central station" in whatever the local language is in major cities all over the world. Given that it's a Dutch game and all the names and stuff in this game are in Dutch i'll assume it's a reference to any of at least eight different stations with the name "Centraal Station" in the Netherlands.
