Hey Casey I don't know if it'll help but when you first crank a carbureted Harley, you're supposed to let it run for a few seconds on full choke then ride it for a few minutes on half choke. That's probably why it was dying on you when you were coming up to the stop signs at first. They're notoriously cold natured. Another thing, don't worry about oil leaks on a Harley just park it over some cardboard. If it ain't leaking oil, it ain't a Harley!

Your pinstriper did a cool job on the bike. You did your Grandpa proud Casey. Just some subtle changes can give a bike a whole new attitude. Now burn that vest before you embarrass yourself anymore.

It’s so good to hear that your grandmother loves it. I’ve been riding Harleys for a long time and motorcycles in general since I was 18 and I would have loved to of gotten a motorcycle from a family member to keep in the family.

😂😢😅 dude this was so funny I love harley content. The vest was hilarious but it was more funny when you stalled out. Your commentary is so funny it's awesome that you and dad got to put your grandpa's hog back together Casey style. Keep up the great content this one made my day

It's great you brought your grandpa's motorcycle back to life and did the upgrades in a tasteful way. I hope you kept all the original parts, one day it will be a very valuable motorcycle. It was a special model to have that clear windshield.

Casey it great to see someone working on the older bikes. I have an 1989 and it's the same issues with parts and all. One tip I can give is the 1994 and 1995 touring frames moved the battery to under the seat like the newer bikes. The factory battery tray will bolt into the these frames, and that is how I did mine. I did have to remove the factory cruise control, but I never used it haha. Allows you to run a full bag on both sides. You got a new subscriber here brother!

Caseys Just a FYI you can put jack stands and lower the bike down on them and it will stabilize the stand. Please don't wear that vest in public when riding it will cause you all kinds of problems you don't need. You have an awesome channel keep up the great content.
@puddlerat Жыл бұрын
Ya real bikers are to easily offended 😂 i find that stuff so funny “outlaw” but upset by a tv show and i ride bikes you can look at my channel and see that but you can also see yes its a lifestyle but its not my attitude
@Enter-a-name55 Жыл бұрын
@@puddleratSome guys ,and girls, take the whole lifestyle thing a little too far in my opinion. I've owned several Harleys over the years, as well as Japanese bikes. I currently own 2 early Buells that are Harley powered. Basically. They are not "stock" Sportster engines like a lot of people believe. Sure I like Harleys. But I'm not one of those guys that every article of clothing is Harley related. I don't have banners and posters all over my house with the obligatory "Harley parking only" sign in my driveway. I can carry a conversation that is not motorcycle related. Just thinking, I only have one tee shirt from Harley and that's it. Some people are just obsessed with the Harley garb. It's almost as if they buy a Harley just to warrant all the crap they have bought.
