The problem is footprint. All these stands use too much floor space. I have a homemade device I made from a music stand lamp. I clamp to the boom on my my mic stand. I clip anything I need on it with a couple of Bulldog clips. I mainly use it for learning lyrics at rehearsal.

Seems a little wobbly but nothing tying a brick to the bottom of the stem won't fix. LOL 😄
