Oh my gosh that's freakin awesome! Congrats! I plan on working on my first draft starting next year for my novel. I'm super nervous and I'm gathering as much information about formatting, scheduling time to write, etc. There are a couple of artists I know that have drawn my original characters for my novel and other characters from other stories I've written. I don't mind sending an email of the artists if you like.

3:38 I want you t find your favorite scene in the book, discuss how you came to write it, and break down the writing that you did for that scene. It's really interesting to hear you and your own breakdown and analysis of your own book can maybe help you later on when you have to polish it.

I have a detailed outline of a book saga that is currently at 193.000 words. It is still missing the ending. I'll start to write it out into a detailed draft, as soon as I come up with a great ending. I expect the final saga to be a million words, or more.

Congrats!! I'd love to know where you are between an outliner and discovery writer; how you've kept track of your worldbuilding and lore; and I'd love to hear about scenes that had emotional impact on you whether it made it difficult to write, and you needed to improve craft-wise before tackling it, or something that was just so exciting you write that making it exist on the page has been a joy (I imagine that's the case for the whole book but some scenes stick out you know?)

I am definitely an outliner. But I also believe in letting my character and story evolve on the page. Some of my best work has come from just being in the moment and letting the story take its own turns. And there certainly times when I got emotional when writing the book. Perhaps I can talk about them on stream some time!

@savagespeaks6850 looking forward to hearing about it! Finding that balance was something that really helped my own writing rather than going hard into one camp or the other.
