100% correct on editing being the biggest part of YouTubing. It might be one of the highest output jobs around. Workflow can help, but even in an episodic series, you're still making a one-off every single day. Easy to burn out. Also 100% correct. Outsourcing editing kills the vibe. You are completely self-aware of this particular reality. And doing a fantastic job.

As a content creator myself, I can 100% agree with you on the amount of time it takes to edit video. For those that haven't ever edited video, trust me it takes a long time. Chrome, if you ever did get a person to edit for you, your videos would lose your "voice". Every CC, just like every author has a "voice", a style if you will, and no two are alike. The audience would be able to detect the change and would most like cause a drop in viewers. So, keep doing what you're doing. The true followers will keep waiting for your next episode to drop and they will watch every minute of it.

Small suggestion: Set a regular "decompress" time. Maybe the last Thursday-Friday of the month, or whatever fits. Talk about it, post it where you can, and everyone will adjust. There may be other times needed, but knowing it's coming will be easier on us. Knowing the company you are building, I'm tolerant of absences. There is a LOT to it, and much is not something to share.

Many people don’t realize how much work managing a youtube channel is, how long it takes to edit, not to mention the talent that goes into yours. I am shocked at anyone who can post every day. I have a tiny channel, under a different account, and i can never even film and edit on the same day, it takes too long. The production and skill that goes into yours is insane, and you often produce one every single day. It’s mind boggling. I grow & then freeze the skin-trimmed onions - a batch of 100 sets harvested will last me 2 years! I found that my bunches hung in the garage got rotten after they were harvested - so found freezing & stored in a hard plastic container works great!

I watch a lot of vlog channels, and your right most of the time an editor takes away from the videos, however if your able to find an editor with the same style and sit down for the first few months and edit with them so than can learn what you like, I've seen that work loads. Granted quite the commitment at fist on your end. And with living on the road I'm no sure how you would make that first few months work.
