"You’re not looking AT reality, you’re looking AS reality." Yes! The exercises in ACIM help us to embody this concept very well, like literally looking at the objects in a room and stating "my holiness envelopes all that I see." And at the same time, there's certainly something to be said for going within, connecting with our wish fulfilled, and trusting that the outer conditions are reshuffling as we change within. I've personally found that constantly checking my emails/metrics/text messages kept me in that cycle of waiting and disappointment when the outer conditions weren't immediately changing. Going within and persisting in that state of fulfillment helps to break that cycle, cultivating that sense of oneness with our divinity, and then when we do look "out" again not only do the conditions change but we are seeing them through different eyes, we are seeing them through that lens of love and seeing how everything is part of unfolding and there's truly no separation.

So well said! 💞 I relate to the mindless validation seeking via my devices and the anxiety it personally produced in me. Through Tom's videos and the "Course in Miracles" workbook exercises I have gotten much better at going within where my real power is rather than focus on external circumstances...it took some practice but I'm finally grasping that its all about moving out of the fear and towards love which is ALL there is. |As you said, viewing the world through lenses of love.....I wept with relief the first day I realized that I had an option to "see things differently"....and to know I/we "don't have to live this way anymore." We have simply been "seeing/remembering things wrong" as Tom has quoted from the movie Solaris. So powerful!

I think because we live in a culture where everything happens instantly, it leads to this kind of mindset where you just expect your manifestation to appear instantly in the 3D and it creates this kind of anticipatory mindset of waiting, expectation, and disappointment when changes don't "instantly" appear before your eyes. It's funny because we hear all the time about instant gratification, 24-hour news feeds, etc. but I've never really thought about it in the context of manifestation.

Just found this and it really helped clarify... Assumptions are things that are accepted without proof. While Belief is something that is accepted without proof but is built over the years based on your faith and experience. Now here faith does not only mean religion. Its about faith in anything.(example: gravity) Remember your belief can influence your assumptions. But your assumptions can't influence your belief. But can change into new beliefs.

Great question and as Tom said these two concepts really go hand-in-hand. Let's say your current assumption is that you've always struggled with money. But the new assumption you wish to cultivate is, "I am a money magnet." Right now you don't believe it. But you are willing to believe. And you persist until you do feel that deep conviction that you are indeed a money magnet.

It actually happened to Neville....he manifested his wife....she was married and some sort of divorce arrangement worked out and he married her....he manifested the whole thing....there are no limits.....we've just been conditioned to believe otherwise.... btw, I am in a similar situation...
