Trying to avoid spoilers: It was a good book. But the ending was meh, imho (dead should stay dead, you know, writing 101). Then, the next book subverts the romance expectations 110% and is super toxic. The writing and general plot is pretty good, though. Just my opinion!!!

The second book was my favorite of the whole series!!! And I do agree that dead should stay dead because then you just open a can of worms and can revive everyone 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I still really liked the ending tbh 😂 probably because I’m a sap
