I JUST REALISED WHAT I DID!.. 1st mock test after 3 hours of driving lessons

Today's mock test is with Kacem, he has been learning to drive with his dad and has only done 3 hours of driving lessons with an instructor.
His test is coming up at the start of June, so he wanted to do a mock test to see what he needs to learn to improve his driving skills.

I passed my test first time at Isleworth on friday with only 1 minor. Clearview driving helped a lot, thank you very much Aman. My advice for any learners is check mirrors often, be decisive and anticipate whats happening so you can adjust in plenty of time . Good luck to everyone , you'll all pass one day !

This is exactly the sort of thing I struggle with. Apparently it all lands in your head eventually but some lessons I’m just like ….”how?!” All the rules and regulations, some different depending on where you are, it can be so overwhelming.

100% i passed my test i drove by myself for the first time and i was still confused about all the rules some i haven’t come across before but once you start driving by yourself for awhile there’s a click in your brain you just know what to do when you come across things like this it’s all about experience!!

Like riding a bike, muscle memory kicks in physically driving, so that goes on auto mode, you then have you concentration on the road.

Why was there no markings on the sign for the roundabout to say there was a merge lane? Normally you see a line to say that you have your own lane and so you don't need to give way.

Here in Argentina we use the emergency blinkers when we are about to park, so that people behind don’t think you are turning on the next intersection and they slow down as you may need space for parallel parking

As this is a roundabout and the first instinct is to stop and give way, were there any road signs beforehand that could have indicated that the lane was dedicated as the road marking (give way) is seen at the last moment? Thank you

Oh my goodness, people hooting like idiots. Seriously, how _mentally deranged_ do you have to be to hoot down somebody just because they are picking speed a little slowly or even trying to give way where they shouldn't? I'm so disappointed. I did so well on my driving test yesterday, and because I'm always watching these mock test videos, I assumed that at the end of my test, the examiner would say "switch off your engine". I made such a stupid mistake, I put the handbrake up, put the gear in neutral and then she asked me to stand outside the car, but I didn't turn off the engine and I immediately failed right there.

Aman, I passed my driving test last week, but I am nervous to drive alone for the first time. What should I do?? My car is bigger than the instructor 's car I used to pass my test, and I am scared of parking because London is so congested and it's very difficult to find parking anywhere...any tips would be great.. What about your students who passed their test, how was their first drive??? Can any of your students share their experience with us by sharing their short videos on their first drive alone... i would suggest having an experienced driver as the passenger for the first few times if you are nervous, and practicing parking at night in large carparks or in more quiet areas, then try the busier ones. i was nervous my first few times, it felt strange not having someone next to me to help me, but it soon becomes second nature, you just have to do it!

Don't know about real test, but that roundabout serious error mark was quite harsh. In my opinion in real life you better stop if you are not sure (but safely!) than go and crash into someone, and especially on that roundabout there was no warning it was going to be filter lane next to give ways, and on so many roundabouts there are crappy painted faded lines on the floor so you have to guess. It was quite challenging and interesting route I enjoyed watching, Kacem did really well considering didn't know the area

A lot of modern vehicles will give gas for you as you move off, but a lot of older cars will require you give some gas otherwise it will stall. It's generally a good idea to give a bit of gas when moving off as it will help you move off quicker and will put less strain on the engine.

3 Hours of driving instructor lessons is nowhere near enough for todays roads to be a safe enough driver. Driving with your family instructing you doesn't really count because it's basically the blind leading the blind. Although i will say when some driving instructors are not on a lesson and are on their own they are some of the most dangerous drivers on the road. I've seen shocking behaviour from instructors before now, not using indicators and lane discipline are the most popular tricks they pull among other things, general aggressive driving followed closely in second place.
