It was honestly the most inspiring and life-changing trip I've taken so far. I am so overwhelmed by the amazing people who welcomed me here -- you won't believe the stories that I'm about to share with you.
Ever since the war began in Syria in 2011, the media has ripped this country into pieces (not surprisingly) -- so I am going to do my best to show you the positive sides of Syrian people, culture, food, and general life -- because trust me, there are A LOT of positives that are yet to be exposed to the outside world.
Can you guys sense how excited I am as I type this right now? It's unbelievable what I am feeling right now.
This first video is somewhat of an overview of everything I did in Syria. You can consider it as a 'teaser' for what's to come. I will be uploading daily videos as usual, but please note they will be delayed 14 days as I decided not to post live for safety reasons and so I could fully enjoy the trip without feeling pressure to upload.

Went to Syria back in 2007. One of the most amazing trips i've ever made. Incredible places, awesome food, friendliest people on earth, super interesting culture and unbelievable archeological sites. I absolutely love how Drew is showing the world a positive side to countries like these. He is showing the bright spectacular side of Syria and not the war or autocracy you always see in the news, and same for Yemen. He has also shown the lively side of Afghanistan and not the Taliban conflicts you'd get from the media, and the positive side of Pakistan rather than the negative image it usually represents to the west. Many do want peace, but many are also stuck in the old ways (like jihads and "honor killing"- girls being murdered by their own families etc. ) Islam is a young religion, hundreds of years younger than other religions, so it is less evolved and they think the way christians did hundreds of years ago in that many commit violence in the name of their god. Hopefully by the year 2400, Islam will be more evolved/peaceful and there won't be anymore honor killings and violence towards women in the name of gods.

I don’t want it to be something like NK where the people who need money the most practically don’t get anything because all of that money goes for thier govermen which mostly spends on military. I acctally think the syrian civil war needs more coverge, because russia’s and assad’s planes in Idib target civilians and hospitals, not the oppsing armed groups and the more media coverage the safer are the civilians there. These innocent people are being called terrorists by the opressors. Regime change isn’t necessarily bad. Do you think that a coup in NK (i’m not saying I support it) would be bad for the people in the long run?
