That is a masterclass in taste and knowing when to shut up and knowing when to play. Al has managed to squeeze in some incredible technique but not at the cost of melody. The perfect mix of really fluid soulful feel and sprinkles of shred at just the right moment. What a great song and what a great player. Just, WOW.

Not be be a downer, but my father died about a month ago, and I've been feeling pretty low. Watching and listening to this put a huge smile on my face, and reminded me how fortunate I am to be alive. Fantastic music like this is one of life's great pleasures... so thanks for the reminder.

Sad to hear that your Pop passed away. You're not being a downer. If this musical piece helped bring a smile, music lived up to its purpose. Thanks for your comment. I'm sure the artist appreciates it too. Hang in there, and all the best.

This is art! Feeling blessed to have witnessed such wonderful expressions of ideas and motifs; complimenting and contrasting at times as a story unfolds, peaks in energy, (and then intensity), and fades out to a simple pleasing outro. Thought it went past 8 mins earlier, but it's just 5+ says everything.

There are times when I hear songs and I say to myself - "I wish I had written that." This is one of those songs. You have inspired me over the last few months to start playing more seriously again. Your phrasing and feel is great. The tension created in the section where you change keys or move to a diminished sound is really well done. I will be getting the backing tracks to this song. Thanks Al.
