The item returning thing is what i call very smart thinking. You are thinking ahead and know that people will probably quit from frustration which will decrease the PVP player base. That's really good i wish more people were that smart to think about that, unless they really really need those items. Otherwise yeah that's the smartest thing to do to keep the population active and healthy

Yes, it's a very small community so better take care of it but in fact, most people leave just after death even tho we agreed for a loot duel

I'm new to the concept of loot duels and the thought of losing all your items to a loss would definitely discourage me from partaking in it. I think a middle ground could be like only giving up your most valuable item on the character, or both duelers could agree on which item(s) to take from the one who lost.

It's funny, my entire years after I found the D2jsp forums was doing competitive PvP, 4v4s, Sorc v Sorc ladder, 2v2s... half the fun was collecting the best gear over months and months and the other half was improving your skill until you were the best of the best. We would duel for hours and then spend just as long talking shit and posting screenshots of killing each other in the forums xD. But then after a few years I got burnt out of it, I felt like I forgot what I loved about D2 that made me become addicted in the first place. I was either leveling in Baal runs or dueling in the blood moor, almost nothing else. Eventually I got into Hardcore PvE and I never really looked back. I have thought about doing HC PvP, but for me the only thing worse than losing your character and all your gear in a duel, is doing it to someone else. Really enjoyed the video, the low level duel community sounds like a really cool place, another way to appreciate items that most people would sell to Charsi, and instead, they become god-tier. Can't wait for next video!

My brother recently passed away but 20 years ago we played HC and got addicted to PVP. With what you said about the ratio between chicken players/afkers I'd have to disagree some. It was about 70% chicken users and 25%percent to scared to fight lol!

I never did HC, but I loved SC Loot Dueling. It was fun teaching people, that just because their build was great PVE, didn't mean it was anything like PVP. Also... in original D2, 90% of the people cheated and had like 10mm life :D

My greatest achievement playing Diablo 2 was getting a Perfect Paladin Torch with my Hammerdin when I was around 18 years old Diablo 2 was about 10 years old at that point? I wish I had kept that account active it took me so long to get to that point.

I had a bugrushed lvl 9 barb that was absolutely undefeated vs lvl 9-13 chars. partial Barb's set, partial or full Death's set (cant remember). This was softcore and TONS of people called me cheats and I would love it, but didn't understand why until later. I lanned with my buddy and he played my char, and I played his: my lvl 9 NumbaOneStunna barb would visually skip bash frames and it looked like my char was blinking in place like crazy. stunlocked and punches you cant even see like bruce lee. good times.

I like the pk aspect of Diablo 2, it should be easier to accomplish, it would provide more risk to the game, and it should offer more reward in collecting ears, such as a temporary mf/gold drop buff for a little while after pking a player in that monster area.
