I Killed Every NPC in Baldur's Gate 3 (w/ Director's Commentary)

Long time no kill! So I know I already released this video in 3 parts with Act 1, 2, and 3 all being seperated, but I wanted to put together a version of them all combined, and add some director's commentary on top of it. Don't worry, you won't have to listen to 2 of me talking at the same time, I just threw some notes on the screen throughout the video to give you some insight into the process, into my thoughts, or just into something I thought was funny. Thank you guys for revisiting (or visiting for the first time) this series, it really is one of my favorite projects of all time. Now go ahead and enjoy watching me kill every NPC in Baldur's Gate 3!

Pro tip I use in every honor mode: go to shadowhearts spell book and equip 'command' you can use 'command: drop' on Zhalk with about a %50 success rate. You can then easily take and equip the everburn blade, and Zhalk will only do 6 damage per attack with his fists.

11:30 so she's Quil? I was looking for her in Baldur's Gate because of a letter, found on a beheaded person in one of the cells near the murder tribunal, the letter was sweet they were saying they pre-ordered Quil's music or sum like that and they wish to see her soon, i really thought that there was no npc called Quil because i couldn't find her on the location mentioned on the letter (the blushing mermaid) I'm amazed at how much time Larion spent on having this world feel real because of little things like this

If you raid the grove then you can get Minthara to try to attack you at the after party in which you can kill another 20 goblins.

Hate to break it to you, but it's actually *very easy* to have Mirkon (the tiefling child near the harpies) die. It's so stupid easy that my only explanation for why you didn't experience it may be due to positioning/difficulty. Mirkon normally dies so easily that you have to actually *try to* prevent his death, which makes this run even weirder than normal

So that first kid, you can sorta kill him by just not going there at all until after grove is raided. You'll find him dead after that.

I like doing things like this too, but my new way of playing is much more... unpredictable... Basicly, it's just a normal playthrough, but every dialogue choice is decided with dice rolls! My main rules are that i can NEVER reroll a failed roll, i can't use stealth or explosives at all to cheese encounters, and if my character decided to end a conversation or refuse to help, i MUST honor that, and never speak to them again unless their circumstancs change, like if a quest about them updates or they move location.

If you go to the harpy beach see the kid on shore but not interact, then rest and come back they’ll be dead in the nest

i carried that kid all the way through act three and then dumped his body then reanimated him as a ghoul. he sacrificed perfectly. gave me the advantage was the move that turned the tides.

You can also send one party member (a rogue or a spellcaster with invisibility) and stealth away once combat starts. When the kid makes it to the harpies they’ll auto attack and kill them in 1-2 turns. Other than the snake in the grove you have very little other opportunities to cause the disconnection of children. That’s why Kagha was right

If you drop them in the iron throne too, the weird water guys that ambush on the south bank of the lower city will have them. If you’ve killed them, the trader will have them. If the trader is dead, they’re in a fish… lmao. They really made contingencies for everything. However, if you drop the kethric one in the jungle the djinn sends you to, I think that actually soft locks you permanently.

@@HypeFlexingtonyeah there’s a bunch of checks and failsafes to ensure that essential items never end up inaccessible. If you leave a nether stone in the Iron Throne, the a suhuagin will have it when they ambush the docks. If you’ve already done that fight, then a merchant will find it washed up and you can buy it from him. If you instead kill the merchant before that, then a fish carcass washes up on the beach having eaten the stone

Man I expected just another challenge video from this, but I enjoyed it way more. Your humor is great, I love that you explain the plot (even though I have about 300 hours in the game) and still try to have some roleplay and overall this just felt much more like watching a person try a silly - maybe a bad word for this but you know - way to play the game instead of an overplanned genius challenge edited down to 20 minutes. It reminded me a little of how LPs used to be, except, of course, you would have had to release one 15 minute episode a week in a numbered playlist for that. Anyway the actual point is just that I enjoyed this way more than I expected and got really invested. It's also been some time since I last thought "hey this youtuber seems like a nice person" instead of just "yeah this guy sure knows how to make content"

In all honesty, i find doing this to be infinitely funnier when not playing as dark urge. With dark urge it feels narratively explained and is depicted seriously. Doing it as a normal person for seemingly no reason is just so damn funny to me. Its also authentic tabletop campaign behavior representation. Durge isnt the murder option to me, its specifically the option for when i want the murder to narratively justified, y'know? Like what if i just wanna be some random unhinged motherfucker

In act 1 with the harpies, it is actually possible to have the child Mirkon die. In all my runs the harpies chose to focus on my party, but in my recent honor run, they immediately just beat him up round 1

You can. Once you see Mirkon, if you return to camp even briefly, once you arrive back he's dead. I know because I tried to get some stuff from my traveler's chest back at camp

I have JUST found a very weird failsave in act 3, involving the netherstones. If you go to the steel watch factory and drop the netherstones, the Emperor will tell you to pick whem up. If you ignore him and blow the plase up, three cobolds will spawn. (not telling youto replay the game, its just a fun fact)

In my dark urge run, I stole the robe from Wyll to give it to gale, then sacrificed him in the Underdark after convincing him Karlach was a devil and letting him live long enough to know that wasn't the case.
