You should make it so that you can only use level 1-4 mons before the first gym battle, then increase it for each gym you beat, could make it more interesting so you can’t get super op right away

Fun fact, flinds are gnolls that have ascended to demonhood, so that's why it's a fiend! Gnolls worship the demon lord Yeenoghu who represents like hunters and predators and such. So any gnoll with Yeenoghu's gifts is called a flind; it's not just the individual's name. They have an entry in Volo's Guide to Monsters (the D&D 5e supplement).

I also liked that the Flind in BG3 is specifically female, because real spotted hyenas are actually matriarchal and it would make sense that the Gnoll pack leader was female as well. Dumpy did call her a "giant dog" at one point, which is technically incorrect as hyenas are actually feliforms and are thus more closely related to cats than dogs.

Dude, I absolutely love this! I have a plan to replay BG3 a few times with different mods (first time is going to be with a bunch of added classes and races) and you've just given me a new mod to base an entire playthrough around. After checking your channel I see tons more fun videos like this that are outside of the box and I absolutely LOVE that! I have plenty of channels doing normal challenge runs, what I don't have is something like your channel doing out of the box runs. A nuzlocke would be fun. You can only catch 1 npc in each “area”. It has to be one of the ones in the first combat of that area. You should probably define what constitutes an area before you’re in one. Probably should also say no companions. I think it could be cool to let your character participate, but it should be more focused on the baldurmon

For those curious who don’t know the lore- Flinds (yes that’s a title, not her name) are top-ranking Gnoll warchieftans that directly serve/champion an Archdemon. Not an archdevil, like Raphael, an Archdemon. But, both Demons and Devils are classified as “Fiends”, making Flinds Fiends instead of Humanoids Edit: Yurgir’s Shotgun is like the BG3 equivalent of the old strategy of sweeping the game with an Earthquaking Gyarados 😂

I had that mod on the radar too for a long time already. Cool that you made a vid out of it! Maybe I have an additonal rule for another run for you: Only use that many mons per fight as enemies are present at the start of the fight. So single enemy fights are not that easy and like in the goblin camp you really have to make sure you don't alert other grps.

Flind is a fiend because it's not her name, but her "species". Flinds are gnolls blessed by the gnoll god, Yeenoghu, who is a fiend, specifically a Demon. Just a fun fact, Flind in the game is severely underpowered compared to how they are in dnd 5e, where they can make three attacks that inflict serious damage and also give statuses to the target.

Watching you struggle in the battle with Orin reminds me how much i love Monks... XD I absolutely THRASHED Orin without having to pay much attention to her cultists when I did that one because I was doing a monk XD 4 hits in one turn (six if I have haste up), our druid could knock out three in one turn as well -- and stun her with the air myrmidon ability -- left her WIDE OPEN for Assassin!Astarion to mow through her HP (70-80 HP a hit). we had her done before any of her minions. made clean-up interesting XD

I only know this because I had "oh well'd" my way through that on my first playthrough until Halsin whined about it after the Myrkul fight. baldur's-mon 3, honor mode, nuzzlock would be hella tense n' cool. given the lack of routes, it's a lil hard to say what constitutes as a 'first sight pokemon'. buut.. there is three acts, so you could only catch the first 2 'mons that you see per-act, leaving you with a full party of 6 by the end
