I really don’t know much about axolotls, but 30 years ago my husband brought home something he called mud puppies. They was something he bought at a bait shop to go fishing with. They were a brownish green color and looked like a axolotl. I ended up taking one and put it in a tank. It made a great pet.

I highly would have suggested getting a RODI water filter and a brute trash can to hold pure RODI top off water with. Making RODI water with seachem equilibrium and Seachem alkaline/acid buffers in the long run I find to be cheaper then buying prime or other dechlorinators. Bulk Reef Supply sells really good ones that use the minimum amount of waste water to create RODI. Let’s you save even more.

20 gal long tanks at MINIMUM. You should have done plenty of research BEFORE going to get one. I'm not planning to get mine until Nov. 2022 and I've been doing research on and off for a while. Also that 20g.long is for a single Axie. More than one should have 30 plus gal.

@@ilovefentanyl12345 if ever started a fresh water tank you can use it along with a hardy species to skip the lengthy process Basically you put in the bacteria that will be present at the end of the process and put in fish with it so when the fish poo they bacteria can feed off the ammonia they produced The process I tend to use with my bettas
