And its made WORSE by the fact that he TRUSTED HER with his favorite toy.....made her PROMISE to take care of him....and she replaces Woody with literal trash. A fork. I wonder what would happen in Toy Story 5 when Andy comes home and he decides to come visit his toys and he's like "Hey Bonnie....where's Woody" and she's like "I lost him on vacation and now I have this fork"
@nickgadson2663 жыл бұрын
@@CeltycSparrow None of that is even remotely close to being true. What Andy said was, “You think you could take care of him for me”, and Bonnie did. It wasn’t said for how long, and it was never a promise or a guarantee. She played with him a lot for less than two years, but she eventually changed her tastes. She wasn’t gonna be attached to Woody forever because she didn’t have the same sentiment to him as Andy did. And if you think that Bonnie REPLACED Woody for Forky, you clearly didn’t pay attention to what actually happened. Woody was the one secretly places a spork and other items from a trash can on Bonnie's table during arts and crafts, and she turns them into a handmade toy-spork she names "Forky". Forky was crucial to Bonnie getting adjusted to kindergarten because she’s not allowed to bring an actual toy.

The thing that made this ending so dang special for me - and for a lot of people my age - was that I can still REMEMBER seeing the original Toy Story in the theater when I was 6. And when this one came out, I had actually JUST left home for the first time to go to an out-of-state college. Which was a terrifying experience at the start. So seeing Andy basically do the same thing (btw that’s the same voice actor that voiced him in 1 & 2) was hard to watch yet also comforting. ❤️ Also I was going to college to study animation, so 😉❤️ that too.

This was my experience as well. I literally grew up with these movies. So it really rang true for me, how Andy was feeling in this one, because I was ALSO off to college (with my Disney movies in a box in my car). That's why I HATED Toy Story 4. It ruined a perfect trilogy. They ended it PERFECTLY with this movie. Andy is all grown up and off to college and the toys are safe with Bonnie. I HATED the fact that after that perfect moment of Andy giving Woody to Bonnie, he is replaced by literal trash.

I grew up wit Toy Story, I even had my own Buzz and Woody. I dressed up like Jessie for Halloween in 4th grade. I am also an adult that is still pretty attached to her toys, especially the special ones. So the scene of Andy giving them away to a little girl he knew would love and appreciate them, and playing with them one last time before saying goodbye, it is very relatable and always gets to me. I've had to get rid of a lot of my toys over the years and even now I wonder if they are okay. I still feel guilt over a silly happy meal toy I threw out the car window because I thought my mom was saying she didn't like me playing with it. (She wasn't, I was using it to pretend to blow up trees in the park and mom was just uncomfortable with me doing it in public and strangers seeing that) I was also the little kid that never cut Barbie's hair or popped heads off dolls or drew on them. I kept all the little accessories in plastic baggies so I could keep track of them and not lose them. Seeing kids destroy their toys physically pains me, I just can't understand not understanding the consequences of ruining your toys. You ruin your toy you end up with a ruined toy, forever, or until it gets thrown in the trash.

0:30 There was 10 years between this and the previous movie. Toy Story 2 was 2000, this was 2010.....so Andy going to college isn't that weird.

"Is [Lotso] gonna be another Prospector situation?" No no...he's gonna be _worse!_
@WesleyCoats-d1iАй бұрын
Lotso was so much worse than Sid, Scud, Al, Pete the Prospector, and Zurg combined! He caused true division between Woody and the gang, sent newer toys into unfair situations where they get abused by the toddlers, lied to Big Baby and Chuckles about Daisy, and was even willing to send the gang to their death in the incinerator EVEN AFTER they turned the cheek by rescuing him from the shredder.

Most of us were two years old when the first movie came out. This one was made by the animators specifically for the adults that grew up with these characters.

I cried when I watched this movie for the first few times. 5 things that made me cry (watching this movie): 1. The incinerator (I thought this was the end for the toys, until the aliens saved them) 😭 2. Andy saying bye to his family 🥺 3. Andy giving his toys away 😢 4. Andy plays with his toys one final time (with bonnie) 😭 5. Andy drives away from his toys and Woody saying “So long partner” 😢

I was always curious about what woody wrote on the sticky note. I slowly paused the scene where Andy gets out of his car at Bonnie's house & it read "1224 Sycamore". Well, that's why he went to Bonnie's house.

Does anyone wanna wonder about that moment at 8:33? Woody being yanked skyward again by that blast of wind causes him to panic, break the kite, crash land in a tree, lose his hat _and_ be discovered by Bonnie, who takes him home. It's actually kind of creepy: if Woody had just let go of the kite the moment he touched down outside the wall and made a break for the nearest hiding spot to reorient himself, he probably would have wound up just backtracking until he reached Andy's house. He never would have met Bonnie's toys, never learned about Lotso's psychopathy from Chuckles and never bothered trying to go back to Sunnyside, presuming his friends to be safe and wanted in a place that they choose to be. (Sorry about this depressing train of thought, I just had the realization and had to vocalize it somehow.)
