Omg. The old skates! I remember wearing those, trying to get them as tight as possible with the skate keys. Then flying down the sidewalk only to have one falling off and you wipe out, skinned knees, arms and all. Lol. And yes, I am that old, they were what we wore in the mid 1960's. 😂

Your nails are fine! I don’t watch you to see them, but to see what you thrift! I don’t understand why people have to complain about how all the lady KZbinrs nails look…it’s the content of your video that matters to me! I know a lot of ladies get their nails done because they like it. I just think you don’t have to apologize to us when you get busy and haven’t had them done. Besides some of the repurposing you do is hard on a ladies nails. You do great work and everything you do is awesome! 😊

I believe the silver scoop on a scoop was for peanuts. Brass birds are pheasants. Large metal sissors in garage were called tin snips, or cutting tin roofing and fences. Best place to start an estate sale is in the basement, the cheaper stuff is moved down there so make 2 passes, before and after.❤

The “scissors” in the garage were not scissors. They were tin snips. The “snuffers” as you called them are actually snuff jars. The strength of the snuff is indicated on the bottom of the glass jar with tiny “bumps” in the glass. 1 bump is mild flavor and goes up the 4 bumps. There may have been 5 bumps for strongest but I have never seen them.

FYI The old shoe skates were not 2 different sizes. Roller skated on some just like it back in the day. They adjust to fit the shoe you are wearing which by the way, must have a thick sole for it to work. Roller skates and playing jacks and hopscotch. The 50s were a great time to grow up.

The skates are 2 different sizes because they are adjustable. There is a key that we used to wear around our neck, and we could tighten and loosen the nut underneath, and then share the skates with someone else.

So many things there brought back memories of my childhood. First was the metal roller skates. I would put on my shoes and the skates and just skate up and down the sidewalk. Next was the sand picture. I had 2 one with pink, purple, white and glitter. The other one was the blue and white like was at the sale. My Mom had several things that were at the sale. She had one of the scoops with the baby scoop. I don't know what it was for but I will say sugar, salt, or just decorative. That house I could see my Mom in because so many things she had or would have had. Thanks for sharing and bringing back some good memories.

I enjoy watching your thrift videos. You are so young now and growing your business ... I was there once! I made a lot of mistakes, and I still do (at 52)! I just wanted to mention a couple of things. I am watching this one and just finished the newer one, and I see you looking at things and questioning what they are or quickly glancing and saying they are not matching or are broken or so forth. I would highly recommend, especially at nice (even on the third day) sales like the latest estate sale, that you take some time to try to investigate for just a few minutes. Ask questions of those around. Ask Google. Take a Google lens shot. If you don't care to know then, you may study it later. The tray with the holes (last video) is a carving board that holds pegs to custom fit around your meat to avoid shifting for safety. They are so hard to find and can be quite valuable. The skates are adjustable, but since you did not pick them up, you just said they were not the same size. Just look at the memories folks are posting about those! I'd love to have seen you grab them! As for the rugs, understand why they were so high. What where they made if and where were they from? How old were they and what was their condition? They may have been $8-10K rugs, seriously. I've bought rugs, furniture, china, crystal, art and so on for what seemed like high asking prices. But, their appraisal values after the estate sales and auctions were often four or five times higher. Start putting a little bit extra $ aside, so as you andyour husband find those pieces in the future, you may invest in one piece at a time to curate your home beautifully. Buy up new, sell off old, repeat when you find your next unicorn! Yeah, I would have loved that rug in my laundry room, too! LOL! There were so many treasures that by just taking a little extra time at an estate sale or auction will often prove much more valuable than than a dozen trips to GW! That was just three examples. I would have had a field day at both places! And, I still have to ask a lot of questions! I hope you do not mind my sharing my thoughts. You have such a wonderful personality and your presentations of your products and what you offer are wonderful! I look forward to seeing you grow as you are able to do a little more digging, figuratively and literally (get all up in those shelves, cabinets, tables, boxes, girl)! All the best to you as you continue to grow and shine!

The metal flower thing on a long stake is likely a decorative hose guide. I have them around my house and they keep water hoses from moving across flower beds or delicate plants. If you look just below the flower there is a 1-1.5" concave circle that allows the hose a smooth place to set.
