I love all your tutorials but you've really nailed it with the knitting machine! It's the perfect look I've been after. I've made a few beanies on mine but wasn't too yet the skirt or sweater next. How come your machine is a gorgeous purple and all ours are pink?!! Thank you for all the joy you bring to us. 🤗

Tell me why Sentro reached out to me to send me a machine and I received a different brand in the mail 😂 but in all seriousness they are exactly identical, just has a different label!

@@itserinbHaha.. that is funny.. I'm glad they did though, you've certainly got the knack of it. And we benefit too 😊.

If you want thicker fabric, make long tubes in circular knitting mode. Close the ends and sew several tubes together. I've made several sweaters for myself and my daughter. Also you can use a mattress stitch to sew the panels to make toe seam invisible.

i appreciate so much how helpful with the groundwork you are! you’ve taught me that the ch 2 never counts as a stitch and now you’ve taught me how to not drop stitches on the sentro! both are going to be SO helpful with making my projects look professional. the set looks cute! and i’m going to have to check out those yarns too, gorg!!
@lavenderoh2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes the chains do count, just so you know. It depends on the designer and the pattern specifically. You should always read the pattern notes to know if it counts or not. If it's not noted it probably counts. Or if it's a ch2 and DC in the same space you'll know it won't count because if it did it would be a ch3 for a DC. But for HDC it's a ch2 that will count and ch1 that won't. So yeah it can get confusing, just pay attention to the pattern notes and you're good. 😊

Ahhh thank you so much!! I’m so so happy I’m able to teach you little tricks that you can carry throughout your crochet/knitting journey! ❣️
@gabby12072 жыл бұрын
yes, thank you for the explanation. i like to adjust the pattern/stitch count so that the chain doesn’t count :) i hate the hole left by a ch2(or ch3, whatever the pattern calls for) though i do let the ch2 count as a stitch with doily patterns lol.
@amara560 Жыл бұрын
@@lavenderoh It depends on the designer. Some people use a ch2 that counts as a dc, and some a ch3. Like you said always read the notes.

I picked up that exact same one off of Amazon and it arrived today. I spent the rest of my day learning how to use it. I freaking love the machine! I cant wait to make more with it. Gives me an excuse to buy more yarn lol

Most of them don’t show what to do with the excess yarn / strings that hang off though with the end product.

Hello from a fellow knitter! You could wet block the panels and then it will be waaay easier to connect them and if you do it with the mattress stitch, the join will be seamless :)

You can take this logic even further. Why do you buy yarn and not spin and dye your own? Why do you buy fleece and not keep your own sheep? There's no reason for gatekeeping. You will still need to do the work on a knitting machine.
