@DrumWild I think we all have to take a good hard look at ourselves and think if in our lives that we try to please God or instead have road rage, child abuse, spousal abuse, cheating on spouse, churches closing everywhere because people don’t have time to go. CHRISTMAS, Easter, Thanksgiving…shopping sales day, that’s all. Memorial Day to honor our brave soldiers who died for us only to be called losers, another sale day and picnics and another reason to get drunk. How many of us truly pray on our knees and thank God before going to bed for your food, your cozy bed, your family, your life? God has really been put on the back burner. Virgin Mary told the children of Fatima that her son,Jesus was greatly offended. That was in 1917. How much more do you think he is offended now? People get on the internet and can ruin a persons reputation in a flash especially school kids where some get so despondent that they go into deep depresión, kill themselves, or get an automatic gun and mow down a bunch of people at once mostly school kids and drugs are being so abused now. I would say that God is very fed up with us.

Only once we realize we're lost can we be saved by trusting and the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I must say that as a Christian, I find your words to be extremely encouraging and uplifting. I was, and still, very hurt about the election and am afraid for myself, my children and my grandchildren’s future because of what may come of the President elect. But your words showed me to leave a strong and humbling legacy for them and from this point forward…I would do my best to learn from this experience, search within my heart and do what is right. God bless you Rabbi and thank you.

White conservative straight Christian man here who is going to follow the good Rabbi’s advice and reach out to the other side, my fellow American. You say that you are fearful for your loved ones and their future because of Trump. I ask you sincerely and respectfully as a man who disagrees with you politically : what specifically do you fear from us?

As a Christian, I am relieved that God had mercy on the US and elected President Trump. kamala is extremely anti-God and anti-Christian and would have done great evil against God and His children if elected.

Yes, the intact heart and soul of the disappointed is the cornerstone of making this situation a stepping stone to a safer world for those who have the compassionate courage to gently fight for the highest good. A house divided can not stand. A broken heart and wounded spirit is the greatest teacher.

As a Jew, I practice “Tikkun Olam” : heal the world. My daily life is a conscious mindset to treat all who I come in contact with, with respect and kindness. I am lucky to have a loving family and live in a wonderful community of like minded people. I count my blessings every single day. Your words ring true to me. Thank you.

Thank you, rabbi. You have given words to express what many feel. I’m 68 and I have never ever had such a deep reaction to an election to the point where my soul and spirit were so disturbed and I couldn’t do my daily routines very well. The prospect of doing damage to people if they implement the worst of the plans, means that we must all stay vigilant and aware. Then we must help those in need. If the people that claim they want Christian values to govern the nation….then great! Let’s have humility, service to others, love, mercy, kindness, walking humbly with God, pursuit of godliness rather than pursuit of the love of money. If they would actually read that Bible & take it to heart, rather than just posturing with it, then they would consider others more important than themselves, meaning not to be “me first” all the time Philippians 2:3). Or at the very least, a commandment we can all agree on: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” And “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
