This sounds sort of depressing but I wonder if I believed a lot of false hope teaching???

Bold, edifying, and rightly divided (2 Timothy 2:15). I enjoyed this sermon.

I think he’s misunderstanding. Scripture in the quotation of it is with the understanding that God did it for them he can do it for you, so even though that statement was directed at them, we can look back at that story and see that even through all of the turmoil and the things that they had to go through. Even though they had to accept what the reality was, God’s plans with them was not to harm them. But it was always always the prosper them, to restore and set things in order. That is always God’s intention . It is never God, willing to remain in turmoil. Through all of the learning and things you have to go through to grow, in the end, when is all said and done, it is for your good. The Bible says all things work together for the good for those who love him and walk according to his purpose. So yes, we can apply those stories that we have read to ourselves because God is an unchanging God, and what he did before he’ll do again. I just hope people don’t get discouraged from listening to this
