Thanks for this lovely hymn and also an even deeper thank you for acknowledging the simply stated truth for all true Bible believers, that God - Jesus Christ! - only ever revealed a gospel for the gentile nations through Apostle Paul. Which is referenced by my name on this platform in the Bible. Salvation as a gift of grace (God's mercy, a free gift!) for our faith in Jesus Christ and His finished works for our soul alone! Meaning, the everlasting gospel is faith and works: The house of Israel and Judah had and will have again in the day of the Lord to prove their faith by works, we do not! We will however obey Him and serve Him, if we love Him, as Apostle Paul also clearly did: He is our example to follow really! The legalists claims, that we can be sinless in the flesh by following Jesus Christ and the law, which actually contradicts the very words of Jesus Christ, not least the Sermon on The Mount and also the simple fact, that He had only condemning word for the self-righteous, which He exposed as hypocrites! “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Luke 5:32 KJV. So-called red letters, and words, which are written in the front of the pulpit of all Lutheran churches here in Denmark, and rightfully so! Not a perfect church by any means, but Martin Luther did get his two major doctrines right: Sola Scriptura (The Scriptures Alone as authority) and Sola Fide (Faith Alone for salvation).
