@@lordofgarbageprogenitoroft4147 I would say so. Pretty much the only thing bad about the deck is when your SS is ashed... Now, at least you have a way to further your plays. If you survive 1-2 turns with witchcrafter, you will probably out grind your opponent. They actually have good board presence when they get going.

Actually from the wording this card is fantastic and should be a 3 of in the deck, it can block most handtraps effect on your normal summon because it specifies that your opponent can’t activate effects in response hence when you chain link resolve and use the this card after the handtrap your normal summon will be able to get it’s quick effect off.

For anyone else that likes playing witchcrafters, remember to run a Summoner Monk. It's a spellcaster that pitches a spell to search a level 4, meaning instant access to the furnace and quick access to your street of magical protection

I'm really liking this cards which allows you to summon a maindeck monster and then gives that monster some protection for a turn. It's a nice amount of comeback capability which some archtypes need. Cards like Cyberev system apply here. It's just more unique than the standard search, swarm and set up immunity.

Everybody thought it was going to be the best but really you only bought it cuz it was a shout out to anime, the whole switching out and could easily be wrecked by hand traps and now the main vein boss monsters is in entirely different pack which is kind of stupid and she's a fusion which makes no sense when all the other girls can summon their dragon themselves

A good field card for them would be to add a witchcrafter card to hand from the gy at the end of the turn. That way you can use the spell card and bring it back to be discard fodder on your opponent turn

What if there was a card that allowed Witchcrafter spells to be set during your end phase instead of added to your hand and then all normal Witchcrafter spells were treated as quick plays?

That would be neat, but the ability to turn normal Witchcrafter spells to quick-play seems a bit too broken. Also, most of the time, you want to have them in hand so they can be used as discard fodder for the monsters. Still think Witchcrafter needs a field spell card and maybe a counter trap card to negate AT LEAST a spell/trap effect. Another great effect would be that Witchcrafter spell cards can be added to your hand during BOTH players' end turn. That would be a game changer. And an effect that allows you to bypass the "discard 1 spell card" for an activation of a Witchcrafter's monster effect ONCE PER TURN would be amazing too. Meaning you no longer have to worry about running low on spell cards in hand due to constantly using Witchcrafter spell cards and discarding them to activate effects. In my opinion, that's the biggest problem of Witchcrafter......Always running low on resources in hand because of the "1 effect per turn" and "during YOUR end phase" restriction it has on the spell cards.
