Rollerskating is the best! I got some skates a couple years back. There's not flat paved ground near where I live, so I've only been able to skate on vacations. That spinning and skating backwards is so amazing! I'd quite like to do that one day.

I LOVED rollerblading when I was a kid, then I grew up and forgot about it completely. I've recently purchased a pair of rollerblades and the security apparatus from a friend and I'm totally in love again! I've started using them more and more, but then it started raining so frequently here that it's basically impossible to go out. But this video is such a vibe! It makes me wanna go out and rollerblade more!

I took up longboarding a few months ago! I try to make time to go to school parking lots in my neighborhood, but it’s hard in America’s winter weather 🥶. Keeps trying, it gets so much better! and don’t forget to wear a helmet if you can !

Skating on concrete is tough. Good on you for learning. I grew up roller skating but mainly at roller rinks and I can’t do any cool tricks. Just skate forwards and only fall once or so.

you inspired me to start skating as well! after you first posted about it I followed a bunch of people on Instagram and started looking for skates... couldn't find any though. I finally got a pair last week, but under sad circumstances-a rink near me had to close down and did an inventory sale, so I bought a pair of their rental skates. Now I just need to buy some protective gear and I'll be ready to go!

Good skates make all the difference in the world. My 1st pair were really crappy as well and the world opened up when I invested in a higher quality pair that fit correctly. You've done great with how quickly you've caught on!

I used to skate roller derby for about two years or so and one thing that I really, really loved were like, triple 8 bumsavers. They're essentially butt pads. They make your backside look lumpy and unsightly as anything, but they seriously take a lot of the impact out of falling directly onto your coccyx! there's another more padded version but I didn't get that one so I can't remember the name of them for the life of me. just in case you decide ya wanna go back out this year!
