I LEARNED HOW TO SPEAK ITALIAN IN 7 DAYS.. (tips & conversation in italiano)

Yup.. you didn't read that wrong. This video is really me learning to speak Italian in 7 days! I'm going to take you through my week by studying, using apps, teaching you guys some tips, and also have a conversation in Italiano to truly see how far I've progressed in the language. I've been trying to learn Italian now for the past 2 years because my boyfriend's family doesn't speak English, but I'm still a noob.. I can understand a lot of the language by "guessing" but I actually can't speak a word of it, nor can I hold a conversation. It wasn't until I saw Nathanial Drew's video: • I Learned Italian in 7... that I decided to take on the challenge and see how fluent I can become if I take learning seriously. A huge motivation for me was the fact that Francesco's friend (who is also called Francesco) was coming to visit us on the weekend, so I thought it was the perfect time!!

Ti confermo che il russo è peggio per quanto riguarda l'uso dei casi. L'italiano ha molti tempi verbali, tanti avverbi ecc.. ma non è più difficile del russo e delle lingue orientali.

@@ikarinorikka non capisco questa gara a chi ha la lingua più difficile... complesso non significa migliore: l inglese è relativamente semplice (non ha generi nè casi) eppure si capisce benissimo poi il fatto che si definisca difficile una lingua con i casi ha veramente poco senso... se in latino dico rosa in italiano diventa la rosa, rosae in italiano della rosa... non vedo tutta sta difficoltà e infine, tutti gli stranieri che dicono che l italiano sia una lingua facile parlano un italiano pieno di errori e non azzeccano un congiuntivo... in italiano per ogni regola ci sono dieci eccezioni... centinaia di verbi irregolari... modi di dire e parole che cambiano da regione a regione

I'm a native Italian speaker, when you wrote "Italiano nel 7 giorni" I was like "no it's italiano IN 7 giorni, we use nel when.." and I spent the next 5 minutes trying to understand the difference between in and nel. Italian is difficult for us native too, keep studying hard and you will become a pro!

@@fatehababer8107 Rosetta Stone is a very good and well structured app for every language you want to learn, but an other app that has a big advantage is Hi Native: you can follow the lessons and at the same time you can talk with the community and clarify your doubts asking directly italian people. At the same time I suggest you to buy a book which may be more helpful because of the amount of rules and exceptions that there are in the italian language.

@@rob5197 a translator is such a huge help. Something else that helps is an app I've been using called Hello Talk where you choose a study partner that are natives to the language you want to learn. It's better because they correct your sentences and send audio

For learning in Italian or any other language here's some tips:don't try too hard to do the accent, you will talking with a nice accent after a year maybe if you're keep studying, don't be impatient to learn cause you will not go anywhere. For learn a language very good it takes YEARS and you will never stop learning something new. I'm Italian and i learned english in school but for the most part by my own when I was a kid and I still doing it.

Good luck with your french. I’m Romanian, learned English, Italian and Spanish (cause they sound similar to my language) and I studied latin for 5 years till I got bored (nobody to speak it with) and now I’m trying to learn German. French is not my language tho. I’ve been struggling from Kindergarten all the way through highschool and I even picked it up now in college but i’m still shit 😭😭

Harry is a kitten how is your German learning coming along? I’m in German 2 in college and it’s getting a bit hard with all the tenses! Maybe I’m just not used to learning a new language since I grew up with Spanish and English. Curious on your progress with German and if you think it’s particularly harder to learn than the other languages you mentioned :)

No. I'm a native Spanish speaker and I'm now A1 level certified in Italian. It will be a little easier for you than most but not easy in general. Spanish and Italian are two different languages for a reason. The clowns that claim that they can understand 60-70% of Italian or Spanish without proper study are full of shit.

Girl! I just spent two weeks in the south of Rome with my boyfriends family who speaks zero English! We live in California and my boyfriend has been in the US for 10 years. Many people get to travel to Italy but not many get to have the experience of staying with an Italian family like we get! Communication was difficult and my boyfriend constantly had to translate. Before I left for the trip I listened to coffee break Italian and used duolingo which helped a lot but I was still lost! When I got back a few weeks ago I signed up for an Italian course at the local community college. Thanks for making this video!!!!
