I learnt HOW TO SOUNDPROOF A ROOM like a PRO

In this video I tired different methods of soundproofing a room from using 13mm noiseline gib/plasterboard to gib rails and building a floating wall with insulation. At the beginning I didn't achieve the result that I wanted and there was still a lot of noise in the room. Unfortunately I didn't have access to green glue or using MLV (mass loaded vinyl). If you want to stop the noise and achieve noise reduction in your room this is worth a watch. I used a soundmeter app during the entire process to show the progress of each method. This is a DIY soundproofing video so regardless if you you are looking at soundproofing walls, soundproofing apartments, soundproofing you garage, soundproofing ceilings you will find this video helpful and entertaining.

It could be the sound is coming from the hallway, from where you just walked from the other room .

You can add a double roll of the pink insulation roll and you will not hear music on an iphone at full blast or anything anyone says.

Gib has a brochure showing all the various options for techniques. The next test is to open and close doors adjacent to see if that noise transmitted. Make sure u bang them firmly during testing. These are the hardest to eliminate.
