Hi, would it be possible to make a guided step by step video for newbies on how to install iode OS on our phone. I have a Pixel 7a. Additional questions ; Can you directly use the camera QR scanner to activate your eSIM after this install ? Or do you need to change to a physical SIM ? Or do you need to activate the eSIM first in Android before 🎉an you put back the Android OS If you need to resell your device later ?

Well, another OS which you didn't mentioned is /e/ os. Which has also an build in tracker blocker for a long time now. In addition it has fake location and recently the stock fairphone camera app can be used on the fp4. Which should provide all the features of the cameras. I didn't test it, I have calyos on my fp4. I like calyxos because of the work profile, which I use for my work apps. And they plan to provide stock fairphone camera app in next release too.

Actually I did briefly bring up /e/ os. It's a cool project and I like that Fairphone officially helps with it, but while it has great privacy features, its security has major issues. It's really slow to update, particularly in regards to more minor parts of the system. For example their WebView is extremely outdated most of the time, which is not good. As for work profile, it's a feature that I really like and I greatly appreciate Calyx having it built in. However, there are alternative ways to use work profiles and what I am using now on Iode is an app called Shelter.
