The fact that you went to another country and started a business is amazing! I’m just trying to figure out a business here in the US after raising my kids! It’s not easy! I really applaud you Celine, as a Hispanic woman, which I am, and as a foreigner! 👏👏👏

I went to Paris for the first time in October 2022. And when I say that I fell in love, I mean that quite literally. I had no navigation on my phone, I have the directional sense of a turnip and I just wondered around Paris asking strangers for help. Everyone was so nice to me. I have made a couple of life long trip goals happen but nothing has felt so comfortable to me as Paris! I am 60 and I still have the goal of living in Paris! I enjoyed your video very much!

I also had the nicest experiences in Paris. People were SUPER friendly and helpful and receptive to my A2 level French. I honestly feel defensive when people say the Parisians are mean. They absolutely will respond to you how you treat them. But if you make an effort, they will sure notice it and respond kindly to it.

So I had to google what a concierge actually was. I’m an expat and have lived out of my home country (Australia), for the past 9 years. Living in other countries for this amount of time…..there are many challenges….but also many positives❤

Yes, I absolutely agree. It is such a joy to live in a different country, but it certainly doesn't come without its challenges - that's where a great concierge service can come in very helpful!

hmmm, i am an immigrant in the US and it is really hard to make friends here with Americans. They are nice and all, but once you dig deeper, there is no connection point.

Hi, I'm really sorry to hear that. I know that those of us in France struggle with the same things and connecting with the locals. Have you tried getting connected with a sports club or hobby group to meet new people?
@JustAGrl0076 ай бұрын
I just heard someone say that same thing about French people when it comes to friends. I don't know how I landed on this video but I'm glad I did. I don't have any intentions of moving to Paris, but I would like to go back to visit again.

Hey, an interesting story. I'm curious about your transition from camera to concierge. That almost sounds as large as a transition from Texas to Paris. Also, the direct link to your book is broken. I'm sure you will want to fix that! I will watch the next videos!

Hello Lawman, it's definitely been a whirlwind adventure for me of more than a decade of my love for Paris. One thing led to another while I was in the production world, but I eventually found that my skills of being a filmmaker/producer lead me into being a showrunning of sorts for those who were visiting Paris! That's when I started to really like being a personal assistant and property manager and found it rewarding to help people enjoy my favorite city! Thanks for letting us know about the links, I don't know why YT cuts off the longer URLs. In case you need those, here they are again for you with a 15 % discount on the Paris Survival Book. Hi, are there arrondissements that are good for specific careers? Like an artist, writer, fahion designer or business administration should you live in a specific area to help with connecting to people in that industry or to reduce the commute to work? I hope my questions make sense.😊
@celine.concierge6 ай бұрын
Hi Suzanne :) Paris is quite a small city, so it's quite easy to get from one arrondissement to another easily. There are specific arrondissements that tend to house artists - the arrondissements in the North-East of the city, for example.
