We took the Haibike All MTN 3.5 on the epic Torridon loop when we explored Scotland in 2020, however things did not quite go to plan. This turned into a rescue mission when Sam experienced multiple punctures. Earlier on in the trip, we both got pinch flats which ruined the tubeless capability of the rear tyres. This meant we were able to use some inner tubes as replacements, but was far from ideal. A lesson was learnt, but we were in such epic surroundings.
Although the loop is not a mountain bike specific trail, it can be ridden providing you use care and respect that other people may be using this for walking. The terrain is rough, rugged and unforgiving as we found out, but that aside, you can really find yourself miles from anyone in some of the most scenic surroundings I have ever seen. We would highly recommend this if you are into your riding. Do not however underestimate the terrain and make sure you carry plenty of food, water and spares.
