I'm glad you mentioned the car option. Other than being a bit more expensive; and not a good idea in cities, in a later video can you comment on the effective differences if you were to do the same itinerary/idea of the past few weeks in car vs cycle. Your speaking tempo is professional. You are developing a brand that, when you post a video, there's a point and thought behind it.

@paulcanfield41579 ай бұрын
$50/week is about the higher end of the native cost, low end tourist price is at least that per day, which would include all expenses. That's bare bones hotels with a fan and shower, eating street food mostly, not buying tons of souvenirs, the cheap motorbike rental, not ferrying a car across islands etc... breaking down specific costs is tedium because the spectrum of what people can tolerate. I can sleep in a hammock on a beach and rinse off at a waterfall, eat the same thing day in and out. My costs are virtually native minus transportation fees. May not want to hear it but defecating in the bushes and penguin walking down to the water to act as the bidet is not uncommon. Cattle are in the rivers so don't drink the water, trash gets dumped as well. One of the less common topics because it can make the Philippines look bad is they have almost zero trash collection infrastructure and people don't care as much as I have seen in equally poor South American countries, it's more akin to the African countries I visited and the poorest areas in Kenya where I lived for 5 years. It might help Chad to answer more specifically if you ask how much is the lechon minook or a bottle of water, a liter of gas, rental price of a motorbike, ferry transport of a person on foot vs motorbike vs car... The man is living his life and while enjoying it has to preemptively think of all the questions thousands of people will ask or spend his free time in the comment sections.

@CarlWithACamera8 ай бұрын
For the central part of the Philippines, which many consider both safer than the south and more beautiful that the north, Cebu city is the international hub with mactan internatuonal airport, on the island of Mactan connected to Cebu by three bridges. From here you can explore the waterfalls and hiking trails on Cebu island, go swimming with whale sharks, do a canyoneering adventure, easily rent scooters to see the island, go diving and sailing, etc. then you can hop by plane or ferry to bohol, Leyte, negros, bantayan island, Panay/boracay, and mindanao and by ferry only to a number of smaller islands like Comotes between Cebu and Leyte. All worth visiting, each with its own attractions and allure. You really can’t go wrong.

Question, if you want to wonder around to different areas. How hard is it to find a place to sleep at these different locations without planning your entire trip?
@CarlWithACamera8 ай бұрын
Not hard if you can handle simple accommodations, often without Aircon. Better to try this in Feb - April when the weather is coolest here. Simple rooms in pension houses, with shared bathrooms, can be $10 per night in the province towns. Food at local caranderias can be $2 for a meal. You have to choose wisely if you aren’t a fan of deep fried foods, but there’s usually some good soups, grilled fish and bbq chicken available, plus many delicious fruits to round out your caloric energy needs.

I had spent 5 months between Angeles and Subic, did all the tourist spots like Boaracy, El Nido, Puerta Galera, Puerto Princessa, and even did a week in Cebu. I was a total short term stay so I wasnt looking to meet anyone real. But between the riding video clips and your content about meeting "real" people/friends, in my upcoming trip (gonna spend a year) I'll be taking cues from you as well. If you havent already, maybe a video about your bike purchase and the whole process of that, would be helpful.
